The balancing between the two exotic and legendary classes is silly on the weapon side at least armour grants something new and different to its legendary counter parts. I have two shotguns, found verdict a legendary and invective an exotic. They are basically both full auto shotguns, one looks decidedly cooler but due to its stats I go with the found verdict, better range, larger mag. The only thing the invective is better at is rate of fire. Oh and regenerative ammo. Which is a tad pointless since special ammo is an abundance on most game modes. Even on the odd modifier where nonammo drops for your equipped weapons, there was still ammo drops.
