How about legendary weapons turn into bad @$5 weapons and exotic weapons get even more bad @$5 than the legendary weapons. Then Bungie could stop nerfing gear and...Low and behold, we don't need a new weapon or gear tier.

But it's like I mentioned in the post, EVERYONE already has both legendary and more importantly, Exotic gear, no amount of nerfs or buffs will change that. Which is the main reason I suggest a new tier.

So when everyone has your proposed tier they will have to make another new tier. It is not the Tier that makes the gear. It's the aesthetics and performance that matter to most. A) Does it look cool? B) Does it kick butt down range? If the answer to both of those questions is yes...everyone and their brother and his friend that smells funky will all want the drop. No new tier is necessary and bungie would be better off allocating their resources elsewhere. We would be better off if they did so as well.
