Alright...
Bungie, I just sat through 6 hours straight of hearing what the players of Destiny had to say about the latest happenings. Raw information taken in it's purest form, drawn out of the public through inducing an angry mob to attack me. When people's feelings are involved they tell you exactly what's on their mind. Give them an enemy to throw all that emotion at and it all comes out. It was pretty inspiring to see how quickly they came to defend their ideas when i said they were wrong. I endured all of this so that i could help this game, and this community. Now knowing what I know, I'm going to tell you what's up. They feel lied to. They feel like you're a bully. They feel Destiny is going down the tubes, and fast.
There were hardly any players at all who are backing up your latest ideas on changes. Many people are saying they don't want to continue playing Destiny, and that something better is going to come along and they won't look back. I'm pretty sure it's in your best interest to prevent that. Many people are sick of the nerve wracking monotony that they feel stuck in when playing the game, and that at a certain point there is nothing to do in the game anymore. Even after investing several hours into the game a day, they are left feeling empty handed. People feel like the game is nothing but a waste of time and money, and want to prevent others from going through the same.
The majority of people are definitely against random time stream warping during the Atheon fight. The people who have been dedicated to your game, and have built the teams you wanted to beat your raid, are outraged that you have decided to take what they created and throw a monkey wrench right into the inner workings of their teams. They want to be challenged, but in the end they often feel unrewarded by what they receive for accomplishing your grand task. However most of all the people are upset with the fact that there are many, many bugs left in the Atheon fight that prevent a team from being able to complete it at all. There's no telling how many times the end of the raid was going perfectly, only for a team to wipe because the game would not allow them to warp, or pick up the relic. Most of the players did say that pushing him off was a cheesy thing to do, and were negative about people doing it. You need to do something about the raid.
The players want something more, and not in the form of DLC content. They aren't asking for everything, they just want something. Give them something. Something to do that will be fun, somehow rewarding, and make them feel like they aren't wasting their time. Players who have accomplished a lot eventually come to a point where they are left with nothing to do. You need fresh ideas for less repetitive content. Obviously Iron Banner did not cut it.
You have to stop giving people the wrong idea about things. Iron Banner proved this. Don't oversell. Be real with the players.
The changes to weapons seem to be well received. Though it seems that you should really investigate this, and make sure you get everything smoothed out.
A major problem pointed out was that there is too little character customization. There is one armor set to be level 30, spare an exotic slot. A system to allow people to alter the model of their gear was the most desired answer.
One thing that stuck out to me, and many of my friends who played Destiny since Alpha, is the lack of story in game. I don't really have to say anything else about that.
The link I provided will show you the full thread, and exactly what the people of Destiny had to say.
Please... Make us all proud to be Guardians.
I'm sad to say these are from your players:
"I would have stayed with this game much longer and I had truly hoped to. But these changes are rediculous. They are worried about making stupid minuscule changes for an unfinished game. AND IM A BUNGIE FANBOY. I love Bungie, and it truly hurts me to say this." -Gamekiller598
"We want the community to not waste their time with this game. It's a thing we humans do for each other in a time of need. We want others to save their money and spend it on something better. Not on a game full of broken promises." -NawChose
"We are running out of things to do. The constant grinding is hardly rewarding. Replay value is something very important in games these days. This games replay value is drastically falling by the wayside... We are just trying to speak up before Bungie makes some mistakes that run it completely off the map" -MrPirate

I won't buy the DLC unless there is a LARGE amount of content add to the game before it's released and until I know they've expanded the content of the DLC. The raids are too short and in my opinion we need more than 1 every 3 months. I like PVP but I didn't buy this game for pvp I bought it for RPG with a bit of pvp thrown in.

This video is an in-depth analysis about everything currently in the game( and not in the game )... This video also includes the REMOVED reddit post THEY didn't want you to see... Say cheese @DeeJ, our wonderful community manager... You are in this video TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T BUY DESTINY DLC ---> FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this rant was to whine about the random teleporting during the Aetheon encounter....Cry us a river, build a bridge, and get over it. It took a few tries even with random other players, but it was completely doable it just took coordination.

Edited by Seltheus: 10/22/2014 9:10:55 PMI admire your dedication to help "safe" this game. But to tell you the truth, this was all in vain. I tried so myself and I saw many others try to do the same. I was looking forward to this game for months and years and I was horribly disappointed. That alone usually doesn't make me just quit, cause I know how these type of games work, they get patched etc until they get to a state where they are enjoyable. The reason I actually did quit in the end(2 weeks ago) was simple. I don't see Bungie get the hang of it in a reasonable time to actually turn this into an enjoyable game. Decisions on their end since the launch just showed me that they are clueless about how these type of games work and should work. They are trying to force "their vision" of the game down peoples throats and they will get their "reward" for that soon enough. Probably when merely a fraction of people who bought the game will bother to buy the first DLC, they will notice... Cause from all the "anger" that gets thrown at their faces, all they accomplished was creating even more anger through dumb and stupid decisions and simply ignoring their playerbase. I wanted to love this game, I wanted to play it for years to come. After I poured my own time and effort into making Bungie realize what mess they created and gave simple and easy/cheap solutions to turn this around and realizing that neither I nor anyone else for that matter even gets heard or recognized just made me resignate and cross this game off of my list of games worth spending time with and I won't consider coming back at any time or any point EVER. I got better things to do with my time. It even got to the point where now, I am BEGGING for this game to fail horribly and ASAP, so it won't set a bad example for other game developers out there that they could get away with just anything and still make a fortune. Cause that is all that matters in the end for them. To earn money. I even feel bad that I was the one who convinced three of my friends to buy this game, cause it would be so "awesome". They all quit the game by now and even before I did. I made them support this piece of crap and I should be ashamed of myself. But thats how it is now. -blam!- this game and -blam!- myself for being tricked into actually believing what Bungie tried to sell to me.
-
Yes. Yes. YES! I'm so bored with this game right now and I've moved on to playing Diablo 3 recently so the thought of playing destiny isn't even appealing until they add more content. I definitely feel like I haven't gotten my money's worth and I'm not going to be buying the expansion in December unless they make some serious changes to the game itself (ex: maybe adding some story related missions as events or just making more strikes and missions available in general, for free.)

Hi ''I could tell you'' about the light this games hype once shone upon it but Bungie's destiny is to fall to the darkness. cheers

Hear hear! They don't seem to be listening to the folks playing it at all. The lack of communication in the game is a real shame. And like many I'm (and I can't believe I'm saying this) am considering buying COD as I'm bored of feeling like I'm playing alone due to the silence.
-
Bump for this in the hopes of change
-
Sad but true, I like the game a lot bit sometimes I feel like I reach my daily goal faster than expected and left wondering what else should I do, what else can I do. It has the mechanics to be something great but non of the backing. Sad but true...
-
Its almost as if the game was canceled in 2013 (when some of the biggest names on the creative staff were fired/left) funding cut, and the completed content cut to offer a game and 2 DLC. If that were the case we will have a few more "events" the paid dlc and nothing else. Maybe that's why they haven't delt with the issues that are driving away its player base. Or offered an event that was anything but cheap and disappointing. No more money, no more production. Of course, Im naturally paranoid and cynical so there is that.

Good post

This game is trash and that's where mine is going....I'm out this bitch
