In my opinion, the changes are going to bring the fight difficulty up to where it should have been in the first place. To be fair, it was one of the easier fight is the game.

Atheon is only easy when everyone knows what they're doing and it's organized, otherwise failing is easy. The problem Bungie has is that regardless of the vision they had for it they've had it working differently from its launch, so no matter how they spin it to a LOT of people it'll seem like they're just making it harder for no good reason. The rewards for doing the raid on normal aren't even really worth that level of pain and inconvenience to be honest.

Completing the raid on normal as a level 28-29 should be easy, and players can teach level 30 without ever stepping foot in a hard mode raid. I'd say the rewards are just fine, the only thing pushing people away from the raid is their own skill level.

Players can only reach level 30 without touching hard raids if they use exotic helmets. The helmet doesn't drop on normal while the full set drops on hard making your chances awful to begin with.

I'm sorry? I main a warlock, sir. I had Sunbreakers and a godawful helmet at my disposal until voidfangs turned up, and I'm perfectly happy with those so I'm not planning on getting an exotic helmet.
