I think they all can be farmed at a pretty rapid pace.
This is where I go.
Spinmetal - The Divide
Helium Filaments - Archer's Line
Spirit Bloom - Ember Caves or Ishtar Cliffs
Relic Iron - Scablands

I haven't tried Ishtar Cliffs or Scablands. IC has a lot of enemies though so I'm not to sure on that one. Anchor's Line is the only one I've tried for Helium. So I've got a couple others I need to try.

I have absolutely farmed the Rocket Yard as well. But I feel like the Divide has a ton more of Loot Chests spawns which can net you 2x the amount of Spin Metal. I always have an abundance of Spin Metal I'm turning into the Crucible Quartermaster, cause I have no desire to go into the Crucible.

Hmm I'll have to give that a go later. I'm taking everyone's suggestions and I'm adding them to a list that I'm going to do a 30 min time trial on each of them. I did Rocketyard and I netted 54 Spinmetal in that time period along with green and blues. Not to mention that it was a bad run and didn't do as well as I usually do.

For Spirit Bloom I tend to head to the Ishtar Academy. In the big open area with the crashed ship there's tons of spirit bloom, with a very fast respawn. It also allows you to kill hundreds of Vex and Fallen, so it's excellent for bounties as well.

See I did that exact run but in 30 mins I only net around 20 so I just got up and left never to return.

Haha! I can't remember what I got. I've had so many purples I can't remember all of them. But yes haha

Pff, lucky bastard. I haven't seen any purple engrams drop, neither before or after the patch. My only legendary armor piece is the Dead Orbit cloak, and I got my only legendary gun from a blue engram (which did feel pretty good).

My hunter has all purple weapons and armor and an exotic helmet. The helmet is the only thing I bought, everything else was from drops. Yesterday I got a purple chest from a blue for my warlock ;)
