I play Destiny because it's fun. Lookie there. I didn't need to write ~8 paragraphs born out of teenage angst.
EDIT: It pains me to say this, largely because I am not going to edit any of my previous responses, but the first time I read through this, I didn't think that was what the OP was saying at all. Get ready internet because you won't see this very often. I am wrong and completely misinterpreted what OP was trying to say. I apologize.

You know what? I respect someone who can admit when they're wrong. Especially on the internet haha that never ever happens. Thank you for restoring my faith in the internet. You are a more respectable person than most, my friend.
-
I pride myself on my mastery of the English language, so as I'm sure you can imagine, admitting that I failed to understand something I read caused me some misery. Some part of me sat here for about 5 minutes thinking about ways to try to continue to argue. It just wasn't going to happen. Once you realize your mistake, it takes the wind out of your sails so to speak. I typed about 4 different replies and realized that I was full of shit.
-
Hahaha that's awesome, man, seriously. I pride myself on my comprehension of the English language, as well. However, when I'm wrong, I have a really difficult time admitting it. You would be hard-pressed to see me contradict myself on any subject anywhere, even when I realize I'm full of shit. Especially on the internet, haha. I usually just keep on going and going like a dumbáśś.
-
When you get right down to it, I'm genuinely tired of people treating one another like utter garbage on the internet. I might be a little sharp with some of my comments, especially when the OP abandons all logic or decency, but I try to be respectful overall. I guess this falls under the category of "be the change you want to see in the world".
-
I don't think you know what "teen angst" means...
-
Here we go.
-
I laughed a little too much at this.
-
So did I. You know.....after I realized that I was a shithead.
-
Don't think you really have a clue but, thanks for the comment. Next customer.
-
This is gonna get rough. Perhaps I should just stop bumping my own mistake.
-
Teenage angst? Lolwat
-
I don't usually see these types of posts from well adjusted adults, do you?
-
I have no idea. Either do you. All the info we have about posters is thier username. Dumbass

RNG is a core system of the game. If players don't like it, then this isn't the game for them. You can't expect Bungie to rework an underlying core structure of the game post-launch. There are a few BIG reasons why removing or modifying RNG is not possible. The biggest one is that there isn't all that much decent loot in the game, particularly when compared to other games featuring similar mechanics. If they made the method of getting said gear anything other than random, people would lose the desire to play far faster than Bungie would like. Anyone with an adult mindset, be they 15 or 45 years old, can clearly see that this is a ridiculous thing to get all worked up over. The real problem is that there is a thin amount of content spread over their framework.
-
People are losing their desire to play for the reasons listed above and then some. So what are you really getting at??? Last time I checked I couldn't tell how old or mature people were by reading a post. Nor did I care. It's about enjoying a good gaming experience. Right now it's borderline average. I'm going to hang around until the dlc. If it's crap then I'm gone and I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one.
-
Ya. Thats the OP's point. Bungie has made a game that relies on exploiting human weakness instead of spending the time and resources it would take to actually create a game that people play because its full of rich content.
-
playing games is a human weakness...... if we spent as much time trying to make money or learning something, we'd be interesting and most likely wealthy

Lol, its ok.

Agree with Textually Harass! Bump

Edited by ColdAtrophy: 10/20/2014 3:04:16 AMThanks. Please rub it in. I admitted I was wrong and misinterpreted the OP. I was in a bit of a defensive mood due to something else entirely. While I could easily edit my posts so I look like less of a dumbass, I will not because I chose the high road and admitted I was wrong. That's something people do on the internet all the time, right?
-
Annnnd after all of these comments, you have written at least 8 paragraphs. Hahaha that's ironic, right? How's that for teen angst?

Edited by ColdAtrophy: 10/20/2014 5:05:58 AMGo ahead internet. Have your moment. I don't let others lack of reading comprehension slip, so I expect no less.
