People very quickly forget the purpose of grenades in fps, and as this top frequently comes up whenever a new fps hits the shelves, I'll give you the low down:
1) to flush enemies out of secure spots (aka camping)
2) bombardment/aoe strategies
Nerfing grenades range, damage or overall effectiveness will result in more camping since there's little you can do to stop them.
Grenades are fine the way they are in destiny. I don't ever want to see Halo reach grenades in any fps game ever again. Those things belong on tennis courts, absolutely useless things...nerfed to oblivion because folk didn't like getting fragged...same kids then ended up crying about camping soon after!
Tl:dr less QQ more Pew Pew. Or Kaboom kaboom in this case

But on maps like exodus blue or fire base as an example, where everything is cramped, 1 nades are everyone and since hallways are so small on those maps, 1 nade is like a nuke.

Edited by Roudhouse Kick: 10/19/2014 5:59:04 PMYou're right of course about grenades essentially being nukes in small tight areas but this is less about their range and more because of the CqC style maps, designed to cater for most of the weaponry - medium and short ranges. It's just the nature of the game really. You'll have to deal with it as is. And treat PVP in this game as a social playlist, believe me when I say that helps A LOT.

Don't worry about kd or any kind of semblance of balance etc. Play for fun, try out new weapon/gear combos, get Exp and marks win or lose.
