The Ninjas have already made it clear that #Clans is for fireteam searching. #Gaming is for other games, developers, tips, tutorials, walkthroughs, and other gaming related topics NON DESTINY.
Where did these thousands of "Raid Help" topics come from? I bet the Ninjas are pretty annoyed, and overwhelmed by the mass of posts per minute.
Hit the "Highest Rated" filter, you will see what I mean. This thread was never meant for the raid. It was a community, but so was Community before Destiny...
Guys! We made it to [Trending]
Keep bumping and hopefully the Ninjas join in too.
Destiny is the current game being developed by our hosts and the only one that they are actively involved in.
As a result, there are dedicated #tags for topics that are discussing #destiny, #clans for people who are looking for others to play Destiny, form fireteams or search for or advertise clans. There are also dedicated "main tags" for #feedback on Destiny, for #help with the redeeming codes or downloading the Beta.
#Gaming is a general #tag for any and all games that Bungie is not currently developing or involved in.
Post where the audience is going to be looking for the topics that you create. Destiny topics tagged #gaming will either be ignored, flamed (by some of our less friendly members), or retagged by the ninja in order to be seen by the most relevant and interested population.
I hope that clarifies things for everyone.

I Like this forum... it's full of assholes from both sides XD
-
The desticles should be proud! They actually have the testicles to deal with the destiny haters! XD

I think your emotion us misplaced. Go after bungie, they created a MMO modeled game with ZERO in game communication. They then launched a sad App as the Destiny companion, and in the forum section in the app is this channel. It makes no sense at all to me to post these ridiculous messages. It's clear that bungle doesn't care or doesn't even view these, or else they had done something by now right? So complain directly to them, demand that they allow in game chat or communication for Destiny players. Don't cry on the forum or you'll just feed the trolls.

what baffles me is after a month+ this section of the forum is still polluted with nonsense raid/VoG stuff I keep wondering when we'll see the day arrive where real gaming topics fill up the front page again. A lot of good stuff has happened in the past few weeks in gaming and sadly those topics will never get to get talked about.
-
Actually you have one thing wrong the #clan section is for finding a clan other than that I have nothing more to argue about.

Good old daily bumpity bump bump.

Good luck. They already destroyed the Community forum as well, weeks ago. Blame the webteam for no longer having sticky threads for instruction and direction or having, you know, rules.

You're trying too hard. Relax your typing fingers. Unplug your sony or Microsoft system. Have mommy or daddy drive you to nearest game retailer. Ask store representative how to put destiny into your machine and have him show you. Don't eat the crayon. Go home. Play destiny. Never plug mic in. #FIN

So let me get this straight, you're going to assume that you can think for the ninjas? So you are putting words in their mouths? So you think you can speak for them? I can't wait for bungie to slap you for even trying to think for them. They didn't get to where they are at with your help k?

I'm sorry you feel that way, but the reality is that the majority still post here and practically everywhere for raid recruiting. I myself have been guilty of this pleasure, hoping to fit in a raid group somewhere. But let's not forget it's Destiny's 'lack of' a communication element other than emotes in-game that's forced people to use this app. And in turn forced this app to be micromanaged alongside the game. While I understand that there are designated places for each topic I will say the description for #Gaming is both misleading and vague. 'Make friends, play games' so why would people think otherwise. Where does it explain that it's an off topic discussion? I always thought that title belonged to the misc thread. Now responsibilities seem to be overlapping and to me seeing the same things in different places means there's an inefficiency. To convince the general destiny public now within a broken thread won't hope to accomplish anything besides annoying the majority of gamers who share the same idea, (that this is a thread that is for 'making friends and playing games) and will continue to post. I'm not sure what Bungie is hoping to accomplish by designating a thread for talks about other things outside of destiny, if someone can shed some light on that aspect for me. A game who's forum is made for talking about things outside its scope just doesn't make sense. People play destiny and use the threads FOR destiny, that's all. Why would anyone use it otherwise. There are plenty of generic gaming sites out there that accommodate this social scheme that are better suited. I don't see many if any people posting on this thread for #Gaming in the right sense to believe that it is remotely successful in what it hoped to accomplish. If it takes revamping the description to get players to move then by all means fix the description, just don't sit inside a broken system and address the public expecting people to understand your broken logic.
