DEEJ, how about somebody there answer for this debacle of decisions that are taking place. you guys can just ask us what we want, use the POLL OPTION on here.
So on one hand you say "matchmaking for raids won't work because you need a strong organized team to complete the raid"
On the other hand you say "we're going to completely randomize the encounter so strategy is out the window"
These are in complete contradiction of each other and make no sense. You are giving the players so few choices that your open world plan (even though it's not open world) is becoming very linear at an alarming rate. Why can't I strengthen my fireteam by playing my role? Why should I have to play according to a very restrictive set of rules? Why can't I sit on the very sniper perches that your snipers do? Why are you micro managing my experience and sucking what little joy is left out of this game?
Honestly can you not see that with every patch you guys are driving a wedge between your player base and the game? It has to stop. Like anyone still playing I want destiny to succeed so bad. It literally breaks my gaming heart to see something with so much potential be killed by it's very creator. With every patch you have further diminished the PVE co-op experience almost to the point of me wondering why am I still bothering to care about this game. I don't speak for everyone and won't pretend to, but I would like to think I have my finger on the pulse of the people I know and play with. The reception to these kinds of patches isn't good.
My whole clan is one decent game away from washing our hands of Destiny. I don't want to but it seems that I will soon have little choice. I'm a grown ass man with a family and I'll be damned if I let someone else tell me how to play a game I paid for. Strategy isn't a bug it's a well thought out plan for success. Pushing him off is a bug, moving my fireteam to a tactical position to gain an advantage is not.
I've tried to be as cordial as possible with this and hope you take the time to relay this to the people who make these terrible decisions but my instincts tell me it will fall on deaf ears.
DEEJ I implore you to convince these people to stop before it's too far gone and the world of Destiny is a story of what could have been and not one of becoming legend.
Edit: from the tremendous amount of likes I've received on this post it would seem I have my finger on the pulse of YOUR community as well DEEJ. you know why? Real gamers know what real gamers want. Maybe those devs are coding geniuses but they obviously have 0 clue about enjoyable experiences. Someone in that studio has to stop being a yes man and simply say "enough".
Edit 2: the overall support of this is very humbling. It's nice to know I'm not in the minority here. I think we all want the same thing and that's a better destiny. Be heard people, make sure your words have weight. We are the reason they live out their dream jobs. Stop the madness Bungie, your player base has spoken.

Bungie only cares when it effects the bottom line. That will become ever apparent this September when the first real expansion is released.

What makes them think us players without a team are so incompetent that we can't complete a raid with strangers from matchmaking? When we do it EVERY DAY with strangers from groups on this very app? It's almost insulting that they have so little faith in us to believe if paired with 5 people we don't know for a raid that we would fail 9 times out of 10.

I must agree. I love and defend Destiny like its the @%#@, it's been hard to lately with all the patches. Your killing the game. I understand you can't please everyone but listen to those who are speaking out. Destiny has the chance to be legend for years to come, or a big bust. (1) Never have i chopped out a yard ( $100 ) on a game for starters. (2) the game doesn't leave the console. I want this to be the only game i play for years to come. The game is slowly losing what attracted me to Destiny. I or we Loved the beta cuz it was Destiny in its purest form not this "Not this you can't do that..can't do this either..". Don't let Destiny fall from glory..... PLEASE

Too late.. Haven't you heard? Destiny 2 is already in the works, likely with parts 3 and 4 to follow after in one to two year intervals. Welcome to the new CoD... in space!!! Well it was fun while it lasted but this has officially put me off Activision forever. I haven't bought a CoD game in years and there is a reason. Anything they produce is garbage and I for one am boycotting anything they even remotely have a hand in from now till the day one of us is dead. My only wish is to leave a fat steamer on their grave before I go... but with the little kids and fanboys that wouldn't know good if it bitch slapped them in the face I forsee their demise to be a long time coming.

Hello Bungie! I agree with this guy. However, even though most of what this guy says is true I am not as upset as I am about the raid. Play the hard raid is ridiculous now. The only point to play the hard raid is to become level 30 for me. This is pointless because you need to be a level 30 to beat it thanks to your randomized players being send in the time shift. You have pretty much made the hard raid so impossible now that just the Atheon kill takes four hours unless a team consists of at least 5 level 30 an it still takes about 3 hours. Most players don't have 3 hours to try and kill an enemy. Please unrandomize the player time shift so I can finally finish beating Atheon for the first time! This will make my 20th try at 3 to 4 hours at a time so I have at least 60 hours invested! By the way I have never tried pushing him I do like the game to be difficult just not impossible!

Haven't you heard? Destiny 2 is already in the works. They have no intention of fixing anything. They will release the dlc's then jump ship, everything else is just a ploy to keep people interested and likely to buy the dlc so they can milk the game dry before abandoning it for a COD model of release a slightly rehashed version every 2-3 years.

Apart from the Tower, there is no life, or interaction apart from the 12-16 people who are somewhere in the world you are in. As for game chat...I have no words...really, I don't. (if only I could understand mimes.) I'm only going off memory, so I wont care if I'm wrong because you shouldn't be able to count this in a game this large, but there are only what 17-19 NPC in the whole game, including the temps? With all the time and effort spent fixing the game that they never finished, and only adding some content twice a year...I'm beginning think that they really meant to say that it will take 10 years for them to finish making this game. I won't lie, in ten years this game will probably be one of the best console games I have ever played...provided we still use consoles in ten years. or die from an evolved version of Ebola. I like this game, but I am not totally sure why I do as much as I do...If anything, I think it's hope. Hope that someday it will be what we all thought it was. On another note, I think we all just PAID Bungie to test their game.

I agree i stopped playing DESTINY like 2MNTHS ago and dont even second guess hmmm should i see whats on DESTINY the answer is NO its all the same thing nothing new at all just another dissapointing repetitive game so yea i gave up on it ill be on to try the 1st expansion but pretty sure were gonba get bored of that to

Actually I think pushing him off is less of a "bug" than going on the sniper pillars, because it still takes some skill and planning. The Templar is way more fun when you do it correctly :) Atheon is so-so for me so far, but our team hasn't completed him properly yet

i really hope the creators dont take what this pos has too say to seriously. Pve in anygame will hit a hault, learn how to crucible or blow the dust off your 360 and plug in a halo game but either way stop wasting our time with your whinny little post

they promised open ended i have 500hrs plus on skyrim according to my steam account and its fun this game i have 100 hours pluss but hey what do i know im no major halo fan so realy puss off.

Bungie and antivision wont allow matchmaking on raid, why? Because people will have to go online and post about raids. It is all about marketing as the best way of advertising is through the internet and all kinds of social media.

Antivision. Lol,they have nothing to do with how the game works. They published it. They didn't develop it,they dont patch it. Their work on the game is done. They marketed and published it. That's it. Why people blame activision for a game they didn't make is kinda backwards no?

You really think they have no say? That they won't stick their noses in at any point they can and try to milk as much money as they can? Or threatin to shut them down if they feel they are no longer making them money? Have you read their contracts? Do you honestly expect a money hungry company like them to not have SOME kind of deal where they get paid and have the ability to pull the plug anytime they want as they are the primary backer/invester in the product? Well if you do I suggest you read the back of your Destiny gamecase.. you know, that bit about reserving the right to kill the servers at anytime if it's deemed the games population gets too low..
