thats funny you mention WOW, because WOW balances shit all the fuking time. Yes low level gear should be worse then high level but there is a difference between that and just a gun thats completly out of wack compared to others ON ITS LEVEL. thats what they are doing, nerfing weapons that just where to strong and performed better then they expected COMPARED TO OTHER HIGH LEVEL WEAPONS IN ITS CLASS. If one guns makes you godlike then whats the point of even having any other weapon or weapon type?

Agreed. BALANCE (make everything almost the same) has become some false god for some people. Everything must be sacrificed in his altar. For me, it's bullshit. I love it when things are different. Weapons, vehicles, whatever the game is. It brings asymmetry and certain dynamics to the game, thus making it more interesting and fun. When too many things are evened out (is that a real expression?), everything becomes grey, lifeless and boring. And I suck at crucible. I don't cry things being OP (that's another word that gets thrown around too much for wrong reasons), because if you get something really cool and powerful, it should be exactly that: cool and powerful, it should stand out. I don't know how many times (in those few games) I got killed by some majestic weapon, but "nerf that NOW" never came to my mind. "I want that weapon" possibly did. Now I don't want any certain weapons at all, since it'll probably be nerfed in the name of BALANCE. I play mostly PVE, where every nerf that may happen just annoys me. It's like developers don't have the balls anymore to keep things different or try to stand out from the mainstream shenanigans. All this BALANCE craziness is ruining fun and the sense of achieving something. -blam!- balance, give me asymmetry instead. One other thing: why don't these people ask for buffs to anything? Why take something out and ruin something for others (in a game where certain bosses take 4034320 bullets to kill), while you could ask for something MORE for everyone? I never understood that.

Agreed and they don't seem to be able to see how PvP and pve need to be balanced differently. Them over nerfing the vex mythosclaster for PvP made it useless now in pve. I'm starting to lose faith in them because all end game gear will either just suck in the dlc and sequels, or they will just over nerf them too. Pointless to raid hard modes anymore.
