No, he's actually correct. You'd need about a 50% damage buff. As 50% of the 66% damage left would give an extra 33% damage or 99% the original damage (pre nerf)

Ha. It just proved my theory about it now being useless! Somehow bungie has turned a gun that was the highest prestige of all primary's into a useless vex's right arse cheek. :/
