An online only game with -blam!-ed up servers. Go figure, smdh. I'm just trying to play through the story with a second character and can't even do that without getting kicked to orbit and an error.

I have the same problem. I started a hunter and couldn't get through a story mission without a zebra error. If I play with my original character(Titan), I have no errors and can play for hours. Try your other character and post back if you are the same

Unfortunately its been giving me errors with both. Got kicked out of a raid like 4 times last night with my regular character. I'm usually able to get about an hr or so of playing before the errors. Then after that first one, they just don't stop.
