Personally I blame the overall map design. It makes ar's and shotguns to efficient in pvp with how overall small the maps are and how quickly we can cover distances in this game. They favored two types of weapons over the others. A weapon here and there might need a small tweak but fundamentally I think the maps are the problem with how they are designed.

Ther really needs to be open sections where scouts and pulse rifles can shine more

  • I don't think it helps that they put Iron banner bounties of "Get X headshots with an auto rifle" I never saw it pop up another day for scout rifles, pulse rifles, or hand cannons. Just auto rifles. A little variety would have forced people to play other gun types a bit.

  • There wasn't a single day for rocket launcher sprees, yet I always found at least a few folks using them each round. Won't change what people use by much in the end.

  • It affected my play. Usually I like to run hand cannon, fusion, and rockets. But I ended up with auto, shotty, and machine gun. Shotty thrown into close the gap around warm up time with the fusion.
