The game is a technically gorgeous accomplishment that was put into the hands of a game balance team that had absolutely no idea what they were doing. As a game designer, and someone who runs the premiere gaming design convention in the country (METATOPIA), I am ashamed to have this team in the same industry as me.
Someone earlier said that Destiny is the Waterworld of video games. I have to agree. And the arrogance of this team of morons to just go blithely along without listening to anyone will be their undoing.
Do you know what would save Destiny? Turn it off for a month, fix it, and start everyone over at level 1 with a proper advancement path that is designed by people who know what they are doing. They stand a better chance of retaining their player base next year by doing that than this absurd path they are on.

Its too late for them to do that. These suggestions were stockpiling shortly after the beta. People were whispering about how the content wouldn't hold people over, and the quickness with which items were obtained was too fast. They had their chance, and $_$ eyes prevailed. They dun goofed

Bold. But unrealistic while also holding true.

I like your style. I have been on the fence with the " scrap it, start again". They made a beautiful world(s), the gameplay mechanics are great. That's it. Everything else? Needs work. Everything. I love playing. I wish there was more. My main issue. They made a game that needs parties to complete it, with no way of making parties in it. Then there is the comm. They used our systems chat feature. That was a cop out. I expected more from Bungie. I have seen better.
