Should I by a exotic engram from Xur?
I have enough motes of light, just wondering if it's worth it or not. I realize it's random, but is it better to spend MoL on that or just class items from the speaker?

It depends. If you have a good exotic piece of armor that fits your playstyle, you can stock up on engrams to level up your cryptarch or buy the class item and a cool emblem. It's up to you at this point. Those are the only 3 things you can purchase with motes of light as of this moment. This may change but who knows.
