I hate these guys too. I also hate it when you barely lose a gunfight to a guy and his health bar is just a sliver, then magically is 75% full within one second. Clearly the servers don't know what to do with these guys.
They need their own servers or just be denied from entering the Crucible.
Also.... ALWAYS report these guys in game. Don't wait until after the match because they might not stay in the lobby long enough to report. Hopefully Bungie is keeping record of these guys' poor connections and the frequency of reports. Then they can quarantine these 3G phone players.

What exactly does reporting them accomplish?

It gives Bungie a record from other players that something is wrong. The fact that it only works while the other player is in your current lobby should cut down on jealousy reports. You basically need to do it during the actual match. Bungie sees everything. They know what guns we like. They know how well we do on certain maps. They know what kind of connection speed we connect with. A poor connection should trigger certain matchmaking criteria for certain players. Foe those who slip through the cracks with a poor connection speed (say 200+ms ping) into a solidly connected lobby, need to be reported to Bungie so that they know this is unacceptable to the majority of us with decent internet. Reports add up and hopefully Bungie adjusts matchmaking to not allow those players into good lobbies. When a player has a high ping, they cause problems in that match. They ignore damage. They die way after they actually were shot down. Usually getting another kill or two undeservedly. Since all of the Crucible's game modes rely on kills as the most important action to receive points, this is unacceptable. People connecting via WiFi hotspots and cell phone tethering typically fall into this category. Also people from other continents that somehow get onto your server can also cause these issues. I just want my Destiny experience to be as lag free as possible. Most of the time it is. I don't want it to get worse. Thank goodness for the WASP error code. If you're getting it, you probably deserve it. Stay out.

So, you're not reporting to get people banned, just to keep them out of your games, right? Secondly, I'm having problems with the baboon code, can you tell me what that means?
-
Yeah I don't want to ban people for poor connection. Just keep them quarantined to their own servers. I'm not sure what Baboon means, but if you go to www.bungie.net and type it in the search bar, it should explain it at least a little bit.

It basically told me I have shit Internet. Lol I knew that. But anyway, I don't think it will work. People play with friends. Friends with strong Internet are always gonna bring those who don't have it with em.

I know. Its a trick of the MLG Game battles Fragged Nation trade. Bring a lagger... gain some health/ hit detection problems. All the "pros" do it
