A Story of Repetition

It starts off wonderful with your attention instantly grabbed in that field of cars that almost looks like they don't belong there anymore. It's the game you've been waiting forever for, patiently waiting for that day it comes out to play to get lost in the story and the online interactions. At first you're enthralled to play, excited and full of that gaming energy we seem to ooze. You love the game and the graphics and are impressed by what bungie pulled off. Oh, but wait! It gets even better! Out of those three character classes that apparently have so many different skills you get the taste of the bitter sweetness of Destiny! Hours and hours you play unable to stop until you have the highest rated gear. There you sit on a rock away from an enemy spawn spamming the area with every clip that you own. After a day of shooting at the same place you are met with the sad disgrace that they call loot. From that spawn today you managed to kill 1,302 enemies. And what you managed to gather were two engrams. The green engrams taunt you almost laughing at the future that you can't see. You give the Cryptarch the engrams waiting for your well deserved gear. ..... And there you have it! Gear you already own! And a waste of a day! But wait! There is still more! That *cough* "interactive" multiplayer option you so desired came up a little short. There is a limited amount of game modes. And you sit there with the controller and a bag of chips wondering WTH Bungie your videos about Destiny were a lot more interesting than this. Are you playing the same game that they talked about so much? That's the question you ponder on as you dip your hand back into the bag of chips spreading the crumbs all over your controller. As you exit that wonderful crucible with soooo many gaming options you decide to hop back onto the game to play the story. You would have continued playing crucible but those OP guns were in every game, gosh darn it! You just had to be a baby and leave! I'm sure every person who plays multiplayer misses the stains of your tears and snot. (Not referring to the Vex Mythoclast, so not OP...) You sit on your coach sniffling about your 0.59 KDR that has been a constant for every match you've played and begin the epic journey of defeating the darkness with your smexxi guardian. You play that story expecting something stronger than every other game that Bungie has created. Looks like your hopes have just been crushed! Usually their games are structured so well around their story that it leaves players on the edge of an emotional breakdown. Destiny left you with an emotional break down, more like a mental one where screaming out was the only thing you could do. The gaps in the story made no sense! You enjoyed the concept of the story but it just wasn't executed properly! -Later on To get rid of your rage you decide to play with your friends on a patrol mission on Earth. You have a party set up and everything but for some reason no one can find the other person. After several hours later you are with your friends staring at a cave with your fingers on the triggers of your controller watching your screen intently, waiting, thirsting, for those little beasts to crawl out of their cave. You see one enemy spawn and shout into the headset that came with the Playstation 4 nearly making your friends eardrums burst open. You take the shot blasting the enemies head off to see a blue engram take place of your enemies body. You scream again out of excitement then fall silent to concentrate as if you were afraid your screaming would stop the spawning of enemies. At the end of the night you have successfully collected various engrams; Special Weapon Engrams, Body Armor Engrams, Leg Armor Engrams, etc... You rush to the Cryptarch with your heart racing out of your chest from the overload of red bull and monster energy drinks. And what you receive from your 23 engrams is crap. The only good gear you earned was a blue piece of gear that you realized was weaker than what you have equipped. You rip off your headset, throw your controller, eject Destiny from your console and scream. At the end of the day you decide to play COD Ghosts trying to convince yourself that Ghosts is better than Destiny. After wearing down your Mountain Dew supplies on COD ghosts you decide that you treated Destiny wrong and that the game deserves another chance. You slowly place the game back in the console and ready yourself up for something awesome. Sadly the same thing happens, becoming your weekly routine. It drains your life. You lose your job, you get divorced because no one likes an excessive rager, then your debt worsens, THEN YOUR DESTINY BREAKS, THEN YOU'RE EVICTED FROM HOME AND FOREVER LIVE WITH YOUR MOTHER! This is an exaggeration...
I enjoy the game, I was just bored so I stripped Destiny for all of it's crappy parts finding many to agitate you all with. Keep playing and keep being awesome! Maybe if Destiny lasts as long as Bungie says the game will have epic improvements that won't make you all whine.
