Played about 4 or 5 games of Iron Banner yesterday for my first experience and all of them were join in progress games. Why are people leaving? Only scumbags do that. Don't be a scumbag. I got completely owned in the join in progress games but still managed a positive K/D and I didn't leave. Why would you leave your team? You only care about yourselves? That's the one thing that really bothers me about multiplayer games. People will always leave you. Like why the hell would you play PvP in the first place if all you can manage is leaving your team behind? Guardian SCUM. There's no place for the likes of you in the Crucible or Iron Banner! Let alone the Tower! We fight for pride and glory! Guardians like you don't deserve to be called Guardians! Milk drinkers! Leave your mothers breasts!
EDIT 1: Last bit was a joke. Relax. A lot of people got butt hurt.
EDIT 2: To be clear, this post is not directed to people who get disconnected.

No buddy i care about you. Get a life
-
I got to level 1, got the initial shader, realized IB was literally no fun at all - even a little - and stopped playing it. PS: They should call it the Iron Regime.
-
I hate to leave game's but when most of my team backs out, it's 6 on 1, I'm forced to leave... I'll usually wait a min or so to see if more players join, then I'm gone.
-
And those saying, "I had to do something! It's time for work!" Or so on and so. Allow me to rebuttal. Ahem. DONT START SOMETHING IF YOU DONT HAVE THE TIME TO FINISH IT!
-
I don't know for other Bungie games, but there was a penalty for quitting Halo:Reach games too many times. 15 min. temp ban. (I had a bad connection... Yea, sure, let's go with that..)
-
The game is having issues with Seding me to Orbit mid game. I still see a disconnect every now and then
-
LoL I actually completely agree with you! Honestly I think there should be a penalty for leaving iron banner early. First time leaving lose ability to join another crucible match for 15 mins, second offense and there forth lose iron banner rep for each abandonment. People iron banner is where champions are born, not pussies. Oh well your losing then have fun and make it harder for the other team to win.
who knows maybe you and your team will fall into a groove and make up for the gap making it a close game.
-
If people are losing, then they better get their act together and try harder to win the match! But I guess that's too much to ask from a seemingly large proportion of gamers these days.
-
There is no point to finishing any crucible match. The only reason is for Rep and Marks, other than that there is no reason. Since Bungie f,ucked up again in IB when you lose you get no rep so what is the point of staying?
-
It's my horrible internet connection
-
And matchmaking in raids is a good idea too, huh...
-
People leave because they get no rep for losing, which makes the match basically pointless. They don't want to waste their time, I guess. Have yet to lose, but I wouldn't quit if I was.
-
Most of my experiences were join in progress with Iron Banner. I didn't leave because wye time seem to be a little longer than usual. Most of them were the team I join was being horribly owned. I actually pulled one off and won, the rest were just too far gone. People need like a 10 minute penalty for leaving early or something, but not if they get knocked offline somehow....because that happens occasionally
-
Edited by Miofwin: 10/9/2014 12:34:42 PMBecause you get no Iron Banner Rep for losing.
-
because at the end of the day, in this society that we live in, its all about ME - you could be dying of aids and the only cure is if your team makes it to the end of the game in full, i will still quit because i wont be getting me any rep SOZ
-
It's cause no rewards = waste of time. People want to get as high a rank as possible.
-
Because they only care about rep and figure if they are losing might as well cut their losses.
-
Quiters need 15 min cd to join iron banner or crucible again
-
Edited by MysticJon: 10/9/2014 12:30:00 PMIf you lose an Iron Banner match, you get no Iron Banner rep. I don't quit games because I'm just not that kind of person, but really, I don't blame players for leaving losing games. Iron Banner is a limited time event and you don't get any Iron Banner rep for losing, so yea, makes sense that players are quitting. Don't blame the players for leaving games, blame Bungie for giving them no reason not to quit.
-
Why are Guardians leaving the Banner? Because behind those Guardians are people who are sore losers.
-
A way to fix this is by giving the winners 25 rep while the losers get 10.
-
Zzzz even when it's 6v1 I stay in the matches to drag the other teams KDs down. People who bail from a losing crucible match should be suspended from the crucible for a certain amount of minutes. Though bailing from Iron Banner should result in an event suspension and reputation removal... I don't have time for people who expect to win when they do nothing to help the team.
-
When people refer to other players as guardians... So -blam!-ing cringe.
-
people leave because they know they're going to lose so they leave so they don't have to waste time
-
It's for rep obviously nobody plays to lose
-
Guardians are suppose to fight for the light? So killing other people who are part of the light actually means you are supporting darkness? Don't blame me blame bungie on being idiots. Also the reason people leave is there is no point staying to lose after 10 minutes when you can leave and start a new game and have a chance to win.
