Edited by car15: 10/5/2014 9:11:51 AMI met Greg Sestero a few years ago at a screening. He seemed like a pretty chill guy. Greg knows exactly how bad The Room is, but he doesn't give a shit because he's making a living from doing public appearances related to the film. He actually wrote a pretty good book about the making of the film - it's called The Disaster Artist. Look it up. (EDIT: It has five stars on Amazon.) I also met Tommy Wiseau, the man himself, that night. It was an interesting experience. Wiseau drove up to the theater in a limo and immediately threw a football into the ticket line. We tossed it back and forth with him for about a minute. My friend dropped it. It was funny shit. He told us that he designs leather belts and jackets in his spare time and made sure to point out that he was wearing three of his own belts. I have no idea why he was wearing three when one would suffice, but they were quite well-made. I thought it was strangely funny because his skin looks a lot like leather. The man has the complexion of a hardcore meth addict. He also told us that the title of the film refers to your "happy place" deep within your heart... whatever that means. I'm pretty sure Tommy Wiseau is legitimately insane, especially after meeting him that night, but he knows exactly what he's doing. The crowd wanted to meet a character and they got one.
