  • I appreciate the input...but I'm sure you will agree that your suggestion does little to help with my current issue. I would agree that Plasma wasn't made for gaming in the first few generations of TV's, which is why I stayed away from them then. However with the later models the problem was supposedly solved with things like 'pixel orbiter' that would constantly, slowly, move the image around so as not to allow any burnin/IR happen. The reason that THIS particual issue has come up (according to what I've found out in my digging) is that when the THX mode in this particular set is used, the 'pixel orbiter' says it is in 'Auto' mode...what it really should say is 'Off', because it is actually disabled. In order to have the burnin/IR protection active you have to NOT be in THX mode...something that would have been nice for Panasonic to have made VERY clear! I have now copied all the THX settings (as best as possible) to a Custom preset AND turned on 'pixel orbiter'...the only issue now is seeing about getting rid of what I hope is only Image Retention (IR). While LCD is far from perfect itself (panel burnouts/dead pixels), in this case I see your point. I'm glad you love your LCD, but they are not immune to technical display issues either.

  • Yeah, no so much solved as patched it stop quick burn in but long lasting exposure burn in can't be stopped with plasmas simply cause of the crystal structure it's made with, but no I can't really fix that problem and like I said didn't mean to be an ass
