  • I have a lot of downtime at work when I'm not in the lab getting data and graphing information for the parts we make. So I spend that time online to make the day go by, and with Destiny being my main game lately, I've been on the forums. I think it's my own fault for surfing them too much, but they are terrible. No wonder Bungie doesn't give anyone any real feedback. Could you imagine how shitty they must feel to know that the only intelligent poster's are criticizing their game and the majority of their defenders are ignorant bashers. They know they are losing the only people who know what it takes to make their game better and eventually they will be left with people who are in love with their vanilla, slim to none content game, and they won't know what to put in the game in the future because all of the people with constructive criticism didn't want to deal with the forums anymore. Isn't that the main reason we have these forums? I posted a long, loooong ass list on feedback thread of what I'd like to see. No comments, I post in destiny thread that there really isn't any customization. Straight bashing.

Part of the issue with the bashing to defend the game may be because of an overwhelming number of times in which bashing was done against the game. It'd be nice if the forums had a NLP algorithm to sort comments into types and give preference to: 1) the constructive stuff, 2) the funny stuff, 3) the interesting stuff; or at the very least just hide the mindless stuff. Hey, it would also be awesome if it could automatically group similar content together so there aren't 80 different topics on the same thing which then buries all content, which then causes more duplicate topics to be created because anything similar may very well be buried.

  • True. That is biased though for people to go straight to attack mode. It's like saying since one black guy stole something, all black people steal stuff. I know that happens in the real world(not all black people stealing stuff, the assumption haha). It's just not right though. I just think, in my honest opinion, that this game will fail due to it's own community choking it to death. If we can't say what we'd like in the game, or what would make the game better. Eventually we will stop making posts. Then Bungie will be stuck with their white knights telling them it's ok and the game is perfect how it is, which will stop Destiny's growth and it will just slowly sink into another multiplayer shooter with barely any pve aspects because we weren't able to tell them what we wanted. They are hurting themselves by not being open to criticism and suggestions.
