you are better off just going on patraol and walk all the way to the back where the walker would normally be for the mission, then after you defeat him go back to orbit rinse & repeat :) best way to do it and it is usually empty so you are almost guranteed to get it :)

This is the most reliable method, since the players doing the strike mission will be bummed into the no-respawn zone
