Agree. Though if recent threads are to be believed...it DID HAVE an epic story. It just met the axe < 12 months ago. I think the question is WHY!?
At this point, there are so many scatterbrained subplots I really don't know how DLC can sort through the mess.
EDIT 1: And to those who argue that "Destiny is a 10 yr plan, give it time, etc." I think its pretty common knowledge that if you're planning a story with any type of longevity, each "episode" needs to have its own story arc / resolution regardless of the main plot.
Examples:
Star Wars IV: Death star destroyed.
Harry Potter 1: Sorcerer's stone saved.
Etc, etc.
With Destiny? We have no idea what the point was...

Regardless of how well it was implemented, my answer to your last question would have to be: Star Wars: Death Star Destroyed Harry Potter: Sorcerers stone saved Destiny: Heart of the Black Garden destroyed It's not that destiny doesn't have a story arc or the elements of a narrative, it's just that it's weak on characterization and on how it delivers the plot (ie dinkelbot)

We didn't destroy anything about the so called "Heart" Killed three copypasta gate lords and it just disappeared. Very anti-climacticly at that. Then the Stranger gave us a lame rare pulse rifle that fully upgraded was weaker then what we already had equipped while the speaker delivered a pretty politician speech in the background.

I never said it was a good ending, but you were arguing that it had no ending at all (or at least not a climactic one). All I'm saying is that there was a story arc, even if it was badly executed.
