People are "whining" because the game isn't that good. Savvy?

  • In your opinion. Go to your beloved Halo forums, mouth breather.

Is Endless? More like, "Destiny is an endless grind." am-I-right?

  • Yes, you're right. That's because it's intended to be a grind-heavy game. Well done.

  • Halo, you mean the all time masterpiece and one of the most beloved fps trilogies ever? I'll gladly go back as soon as the MCC comes out. You see the thing is I can't travel in time, and it doesn't come out for a month. Let me know when Destiny gets higher than a 7 average user score. "Mouth breather" you're so original, I haven't heard that generic insult since I was about 12 years old.

  • Also, trilogy? Isn't it a tetralogy right now? There are technically 4 main titles. And in 2016, it'll be a pentalogy.

  • Reach and ODST were spin offs. Halo 1-3 was a reference to the trilogy developed by Bungie. It had its own story line that concluded.

  • That's not technically the meaning of trilogy, but I understand what you mean. Halo 4 did start after the end of 3, though. I actually loved Halo 3. It's the only installment that I could honestly sit down and just have a good time. 1 and 2 just didn't do it for me for some reason, and, to me, 4 was just awful.

  •
Let me know when Destiny gets higher than a 7 average user score.
Let's just look at Metacritic's user score for PS4 right here, okay? Okay. http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/destiny/user-reviews User score - 6.5/10 (total 3,422) Positive (7 - 10) - 2,055 Mixed (5 - 6) - 391 Negative (1 - 4) - 976 Now, click on the negative review numbers and scroll through. What do you see? 0s. 0s everywhere. With a few 1s and 2s thrown in. This game is definitely NOT a 0, 1, or a 2. Get real, dude. This is the result of the vocal minority's negativity. Haters will rate what they hate as a 0/10, even if the game is definitely a decent game. Now, let's look at the positive reviews. Again, ridiculous scores. 10s and 9s everywhere. This game is definitely not a 10/10. This is the result of fanboyism. My point is that user scores can be both inflated and deflated, even if the product is neither perfect nor terrible. User average scores aren't accurate representations of how good or bad the game is. Just to prove my point further, here's The Last of Us' score; http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/the-last-of-us/user-reviews Now, the numbers are clearly different. This game is loved by basically anybody who played it. However, look at those 407 4/10 or lower scores. That's clearly ridiculous. They either didn't play the game, or they're just allergic to good graphics, memorable cinematic scenes, and insanely well-developed characters (2 of which, admittedly, are not present in Destiny. huehuehue). All I'm say is that user average scores are not accurate at all. Too many people vote near-perfect or near-0. There are always fanboys and haters, which means that a game's true greatness or mediocrity can never be truly displayed. Hell, some of the "reviews" on the Destiny page are simply "too many 10/10s, so 0/10 for me" or "too many 0/10s, so 10/10 for me." That's idiotic. Originality? You're going to praise the MCC, while bashing me for being unoriginal. Cool, dude. MCC = remastered games. Sure, they're good games (even if I dislike them). However, by definition, not original pieces of work. Mouth breather? Yea, I'm remastering it. Get over it.

  • There's just as many people that give the game a 10 as well to balance it out. You're telling me this game is a perfect 10/10 that's just as moronic as it getting a 0/10. It averages out and Destiny is right where I would rank it about a 7/10. Is it an awful game, no it's not. Yet, it's not the perfect flawless game a lot of people on here like to make it out to be. The MCC are old games, but they're still better than any of the trash that's released now. I've been playing games since the mid 90's, and games have been getting worse and worse. Ever since gaming became a major "industry" it's become worse and worse. Developers don't care about making solid titles packed with content like they used to. They care about catering to the lowest common denominator so everyone will love it. The problem with that is terrible game mechanics that frustrate players causing them to drop the game after a month. Sure you get a lot of sales initially, but the sales end up drying out and you end up with a dead game. A key example of this was Halo 4. It tried to cater to everyone and bring in the COD crowd instead of catering to the true fans that helped support the franchise over the years. That's my major beef with Destiny. It's to the point where you don't even get a story with the retail game, because you have to buy it in bits and pieces. The leak, and the proof of disc locked content only confirms this. Funny thing is, if they had just included all of that Day 1 they would have had a smashing new IP. A game that everyone would have LOVED from the beginning and you would have had people drooling for more instead of having all of this controversy. If you enjoy the game that's fine and it's your prerogative, but don't act like the games perfect, and stop pretending that what they're doing isn't a SHITTY business practice.

  • We seem to agree on a few things. It's just annoying to see you post something negative is nearly every single thread. It's just old, dude. This isn't the game you wanted, and I understand that. It's not entirely what I wanted either. The communication is shit, the story is subpar at best, and I honestly hate the lack of matchmaking in specific activities. There are great things and terrible things.

  • You're the one who is the idiot for posting at all then. Neither side is fully right so it's not that good of a game. The game is average, it has some great aspects, but also a lot of negative aspects that detract from it.
