Not true. The concept of betas and free demos for games prior to purchase has been around for over a decade. If you didn't get to play the beta for Destiny, then you most certainly had gaming websites and youtube FULL of videos giving everyone a look into what Destiny was going to be at release. I have no feelings for Bungie. I know that they are well respected for the Halo series but I haven't played a Halo game since Halo 2 on the original Xbox. I have absolutely no basis for assuming that Destiny is a butchered masterpiece. For all we know, it could've been an even bigger mess of a story than what we currently have. I also can't say that it's currently the greatest game, nor can I say that it does not still have the potential to be the greatest game ever made. It is not meant to be played, beaten, and judged in a similar fashion to just about every other typical video game. The game has to be given much more time in order to grow and evolve before we can really say just how bad the story and/or the game itself "sucks".
