I would certainly like Bungie to address this in some manner. I really enjoyed the game, and I even thought the story was okay. It just wasn't the quality I was expecting from Bungie. There were very few characters, and the ones that make an appearance make very brief ones and create more questions than they answer. The plot itself left so much unanswered that instead of creating an air of mystery, it just left us clueless. I don't think that fact that it's a new IP can be used as an excuse, since Halo 1 didn't seem to have these problems. The plot was excellent and complete, and I grew to love some of the characters. It was mysterious, but you still knew enough of what was going on to not feel lost. After reading the AMA, things seemed to make a lot more sense. I didn't get the feeling that it was a troll. The way he spoke made it feel legitimate, and I hope that's not just because I was hearing what I wanted to hear. But it definitely would make sense that content was cut. Back in the darkness we thought there was going to be five factions (Osiris and Seven Seraphs) and multiple locations on each planet (Europa and Old Chicago were missing). I hope we get some info in the next BWU.

  • They would be incredibly stupid to respond to any thread having anything to do with that reddit. If they chose to do that there would be a new "leaker" on Reddit every other day...

  • I don't use reddit so I'm not really familiar with how often this kind of thing happens or what level of legitimacy it has. Although there wasn't any proof it was real, it just sounded real to me. Do you think it's more likely to be a troll?

  • Reddit is an anonymous message board, just like all the others. It's filled with all the same crap that all message boards are filled with, regardless of topic. The vast majority of what's written there is BS. There is zero real legitimacy to any of it because there is zero real proof associated with any of it. To be clear, I'm not saying it's real or fake. There is absolutely no way to tell for sure. As far as I'm concerned, since most of the time what you read on message boards is shenanigans I personally lean towards it being a fake post to solicit a response from Bungie. I could go on Reddit right now and write about how the CEO of Bungie molested me. If nothing else, consider this... If this guy had a positive story to tell would all these people believe him? No, he would be called a liar or a Bungie plant. People believe him because he's saying what they want to hear.

  • Ya, that's what I should have realized, but I guess I was one of the ones who wanted to hear it. My opinion still stands though. It's a good game, but the story felt lacking.
