I don't really have a playstyle, i just use that which is most effective. I start out with my auto rifle, and mow down people from a safe distance, but if i see someone on my radar is getting close, i'll pop out my shotgun and blast em. I also prefer to use my heavy machine gun over rockets anyday. The zombie apololypse has a clip of 72 rounds, killing players in a quick 4 to 5 shots (or so it seems) if need be i can clear out an entire roster of players without even needing to reload, and still have enough ammo to do it 3 more times.

 • And that build would work great for you in 80 percent of the situations on the map because it is well balanced. You cover short and long-med range with your primary and secondary, with a backup heavy. The only times you would be at a disadvantage is on a big vehicle map with a sniper.

 • Bingo. But really it's kind of a shame, for me theres nothing more satisfying than sniping some poor bastard halfway across the map. But destiny definately lacks the "big team battle" maps, snipers really aren't effective as a special weapon in the crucible because most of the time is spent in close quarter combat. Solution:
give us blood gulch
• Yup... Miss the Big Team Maps. There are only a handful of PvP maps now where my preferred primary (Scout Rifle) is useful; however, it seems like the ARs still outperform the SRs at mid/long range... Kinda like the BMR/DMR issue in Reach. There was chatter about the AR/SR performance awhile ago... I don't know if anything has changed.

 • Agreed. 90% of the time I'm using the same sort of setup. The fun part about the Crucible is picking equipment based on perks and not damage. Suddenly that Uncommon shotgun with Auto-Fire can be far more satisfying (especially in close quarters), compared to a Rare/Legendary you usually use. Almost wish Bungie would create a second pair of weapon slots you could populate for Crucible PvP ... or leave unpopulated to fall back on your "standard" PvE weapon set. Would make it easier for those of us that like to dip in and out (but its not too bad anyway).

 • There is definitely call for larger maps. And I hope that they heed this call with the expansions. I'd also love to see a new vehicle or two. Maybe an airborne vehicle? However we will have to see.
