Deej, an actual Bungie employee has already said this is a troll. (Some will believe this, others will believe whatever they want) Explanations are given freely by companies, not some cloak and dagger style interview that really doesn't address anything specifically. This supposed interview is not an explanation. It's fuel for the fire. Bungie nor activision is particularly open with communications about alot of things. This lets people think what they want and stew about things. Any little information that pops up on the internet and aligns with those thoughts will be accepted as fact. Bungie nor Activision is helping to fan the flames by being somewhat tight lipped. Are there some truths in this supposed interview? Maybe. However, the validity of the source is in serious question. I highly doubt anyone would risk their lively hood and jail time to speak out about this.

Without an official statement, it makes sense for Bungie not to claim this guy. That way everything can be left to speculation. I choose to believe him. Maybe I got trolled? Maybe not? Seems legit to me.

They made an official statement, saying it was a troll......but believe what you want. Who knows which of us is right or wrong.
