Personally I think cave farming is useless. Now it's a quick fix but later it's going to have been wasted play time. Bungie announced that only 3% of the guardians in the game have obtained the trophy for maxing out crucible and vanguard marks and only 2% have obtained rank 3 vanguard... While my clan is sitting here rank 3 and 4 with all factions. Beat the raid in 3 hours first try and completes the nightfall on the reg. when they do away with the loot caves and there's nothing left to do but play the game and 75% or more of the people playing can't even complete high level strikes with out getting their hand held the entire way it will be clear who worked for game progression. Love this game and can't wait to see what is to come..

I agree with you here, I've done the raid since release, on two characters (now it's easy.. 45mins max) and always do the nightfall. I do however see the potential of farming, for when I hit 30 from raid gear I have no ambition to get another class to 30; making endgame useless until the DLC. I'm not a fan of crucible either. At that point I may farm to get shards, and make different sets of gear for itl vs disc vs strength.

Yea that makes sense, but I see lvl 24 characters non stop farming and never progressing levels. One of my friends had to get left out of the raid cuz he was just farming and not doing strikes for shards

One of my friends had to get left out of the raid cuz he was just farming and not doing strikes for shards[/quote] That's lame, I wouldn't consider farming until I finished the raid on both my hunters, did the nightfall twice, weekly twice and farmed all my vanguard and crucible marks. Farming should be a last option, unless truly desperate.

It's super noticeable if they have worked for any of their equipment, cause if you worked up to this point then their level is higher cause till the new patch the only way to get ascendant materials was to do high lvl strikes and the raid.

I just look if they have the chatterwhite shader at this point. I have no reason to go past 28 when I need 3 pieces of raid gear to hit 30; would be useless to waste shards hitting 29. I've done the raid 4 times, on 2 hunters and the only gear that dropped was the raid chest but I have an Exotic chest maxed. I hope later today when my group clears in twice I'll finish the set.. LOL.

The new people are fine, but if you've got all exotic and legendary equipment and can't complete a lvl 28 strike then you've probably been cave looting
