I agree with you, but I think at this point, the dlc's are bungie's way of reincorporating the content cut by activision in an attempt to keep the game what they wanted. They didn't cut it for the sake of cutting it and then charging for it. activision cut it, now it's the only way for Bungie to add that cut content back into the game

"They didn't cut it for the sake of cutting it and then charging for it." With such a budget and development time, you bet they did cut for the sake of cutting it. It's wrong, but we'll all mostly buy the DLCs and they know it, so they did it.
