I would offer this:
'The Dark Below' is the continuation of the Destiny story. It's being released in December. It will contain content that is being completed and enhanced as I type these words. We'll detail that out soon so you can make your own decisions.
As for communication, there are now 5 articles about Destiny updates (http://www.bungie.net/en/News#cat=updates&creationDate=0&page=1) as well as some revealing Dev Notes (http://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Dev-Notes/en/News/News?aid=12188) that speak a lot to what we've learned and how we're reacting. That falls outside the other content I'm publishing whenever I can to open a window into our studio.
I'm not here to argue with you. I believe that, as the player, your emotional reactions to our games are never wrong. Those magical things that happen in your brain when you play are not things I would ever try to talk you out of. We learn from them. We listen to that because it's valuable to us.
What I would say is that Destiny rests on a foundation, and we're building on it. Many people are playing, and we're working to honor that passion and enthusiasm by supporting the experience. There are always things we can do to make the game better, and we're being aggressive about doing them.
And, this conversation will continue. Sincerely, I thank you for playing, and for talking about what you want Destiny to be. It's my job to give you a voice in our house, so don't stop talking.

Please add a function to disable aim assist, adjust music/SFX volumes, broaden the look sensitivity, and add a function to adjust ADS sensitivity.

DeeJ what IS Destiny's base story exactly? I'm sorry if you all didn't do a good job of letting any of us know. But really, no idea why anything, or anyone this far matters.

Bungie blew it deej. You know it, I know it, the vast majority of those who have played it know it. You lobotomized the story to resell it back to us as dlc. It is one of the most dirtiest business tricks a game dev can do. Now you're getting burned and you're playing firefighter. I get it. That's your job. This whole debacle guarantees I will not pre-order anything bungie makes ever again. You will reviewed and scrutinized like how I treat other devs that have burned my goodwill and trust. You should be kings of the industry right now, instead you're acting like a sleazy used car salesmen; slinging lies to make a quick buck off the hype.

The Destiny foundation is broken; it was broken when Bungie decided to abandon the original awesome story content (including player origin stories varied by race!) and settled for the terrible hack job they finally delivered. Can you go back and rebuild that foundation and give us the missing content? Can you give me my origin story? Can you make me feel less stupid as an Awoken standing before the Awoken queen and pretending we are complete strangers? No you can't. I have no confidence that any amount of future window dressing can make up for the chance you squandered: the chance to make an unforgettable game.

Please please please just level with us. This shit storm is out of control. Something obviously went terribly wrong. We, the loyal Bungie community, will continue to support you if you are transparent and make it clear that you will make it right. Pretending that the game is ok as shipped is only going to lose us. If you are going to give us expansion packs, learn something from WoW. Each expansion is it's own story arc, rather than fragments of a plot. The initial plot has to get people emotionally involved, otherwise we have no incentive to purchase those expansions.

Are you sure you want to look at WoW's model. For starters people pay $15 a month for WoW. Second they release a large expansion every 1-2 years for $60. I think I much prefer Bungie releasing a $15 expansion every 2-3 months and not having a subscription fee.

I would agree with you, if there had been any substance to vanilla Destiny's story. I enjoy the idea of more frequent releases. I just feel that the original story was nothing but bait for the expansion packs, rather than a satisfying story in itself.

Did you complain about the first lord of the rings movie when only part of the story was given and nothing was resolved. They had some characters who went from place to place not really accomplishing anything major along the way. Did you complain that you had to pay another $15 movie ticket to go and see the 2nd and 3rd movie? I mean it was proven that they had all of the story when they were making the first movie but they cut the story up into three movies.

No, because they gave us a reason to care about the plot going forward. Nothing was resolved, but there was at least a coherent story and characters worth getting attached to. That can't be said for Destiny.

30$ by the way. Also WoW has more content, support, developers acknowledge the community more, less cryptic, and this expansion coming out in Nov was 14 months since last major content patch, which that content patche was much bigger than both of the DLC's coming out for Destiny combined, and it was free. So yes, I would much prefer them to follow a 15$ monthly sub for the amount of content they give in a game like Destiny, that would be simply amazing. They can't do it though, they don't have the capabilities.

$30 for both expansions. I assume they will allow you to purchase them stand alone when they actually release. Might be $20 though separately.

Yea, but 30$ more for stuff that people have already proven is already in game. I think Bungie is working on content, just not The Dark Below or The Wolve's Den" or w/e the second one is going to be called. I just know that WoW had more content on release, and will always have more content than any game you have on console simply because of disk size. Not that I expected Destiny to have as much content, but comparing Destiny to WoW is a big no no because they will never compete.

Yea but that 15 bucks I get a game that has about 400x the areas then destiny did I mean hell when the WoW launched in 04 it had 10 instances aka Stikes. this game has 5.

Wow expansion was not $15 and it came out 3 years after the initial release. Destiny will have more strikes and raids within 2 months and then even more within an additional few months. So Destiny will probably have more content in a shorter timeframe than WoW's first expansion.

They may have more patch releases, but that does not mean they have more content. -EDIT- You can check the amount of content during each on of those 0.1-0.2-0.3, etc patches. I know WoW already has a huge lead just from their vanilla.0 and vanilla.1.

yea but during that time they added more raids and more instances and more quests and more areas then Destiny will. Hell I think the starting zones in WoW have more quests then all of destiny and thats ONE ZONE.

You're arguing about a game that has been out 3 weeks now, that already has two expansion packs planned. As long as Bungie keeps putting out events and expansion packs I'll be perfectly happy.
