Because in real life we can push a button and make metal change shapes? What a joke....

Given that fact that glimmer is supposed to be programmable matter that's used to build the gear we use... YES.

Edited by CorruptAi: 9/28/2014 6:53:57 PMYou're right, I absolutely admire this game for its realism. Truthfully, it's the only reason I play. If they add anything that is unrealistic to Destiny, I will quit and sell the game immediately. /s

Well equal gravity and on all the planets and vegitation and venus is pretty unrealistic. But other than that i agree the realism is great
-
The reason for the things like vegetation on Venus is that the other planets got terraformed during the golden age.
-
It was sarcasm. I had hoped that I laid it on thick enough for it to be conveyed through text without the use of a tag, but I will edit one in. The gravity is far from the only unrealistic thing about this game.

lol talking about real life for a sci fi game that has people walking on venus.

I guess i dont get why anyone would want to change there armor. Then it wouldnt be at all unique. Why even get new armor at all then and just have a stat upgrade? Everyone complains about not enough content and then begs bungie to reduce the content... puzzling
-
Edited by rickysan315: 9/28/2014 6:50:29 PMin no way have i asked to reduce the content. simply said to give us the ability to not be tied down to your armor(aesthetically) simply for stats. i find myself restricted on keeping armor im not really crazy about(aesthetically) just to keep my light level up. it would be unique, youre giving the option for everyone to change their aesthetics as they please. meaning that everyone will have something different and not tied to just keeping their light stats up which in turn making everyone pretty much uniform and confined to certain armor types. understand where im coming from now? maybe youve just gotten lucky with your armor. thats all.

Oh no i agree some stuff is ugly. However i guess i dont feel i should be able to change the shape of the stuff i found. We get shaders which is painting it. That makes sense. And they are not gonna spend the manpower or finances to make this change because some people dont like there shoulder pads. It would also take away from other visuals in the game because they woukd have to use more hardware power to give you more details in everyones armor that you really never see mich anyway
-
i dont find it to be an enormous task due to im not asking to add content either. the content is all there, just let me use it differently. i think thats more of just a simple menu change. either way i guess well have to agree to disagree.
-
There is no such thing as a simple menu change. Code doesnt work like that.
-
i just find it wasteful that all uncommon/common/and rare items basically become useless in the end game even though they put so much work into them. i dont see what the problem would be to let people look how they want to look. its not like were giving full access to all the armors available from day one. you still have to go out, explore, fight and search for your armor. which i see takes nothing away from the game.
-
In my opinion it would degrade the game. Thats just me.
