Light Leveling Limits Customization
So as you all know, as soon as you get gear with more light, be it Rare, Legendary, Raid Armor, or Exotic, you need to equip and upgrade it to level up. The only way to get to the maximum rank, 30, is to have a set of Raid gear (fully upgraded), and one Exotic armor piece (Optional). How will we get to choose what we look like in the end-game? Don't get me wrong, I like some of the Raid armor, but maybe not everyone does. Is there something I'm missing? Open for discussion.

They should have a system like in Diablo 3 with the transmogrify ability. Basically one you wear any piece of Armor, later on you can pay some sort of price, be it glimmer or Vanguard marks or whatever, and change the appearance of whatever you're wearing to look like any other piece of Armor you've previously worn. The stats stay the same, you just look different.

All they need to add is a separate tab next to your regular armor spots that would count as cosmetic, then you could have the stats from whatever your beat gear is, and look like whatever you have equipped in the cosmetic slots. As it stands now, I saved my starter Hunter gear to wear around town :p

AngryJoe got it right when he said that Reach, a game that came out about 5 years ago, has more customization than Destiny.

4 RepliesI can agree with you. It seems only color options will change character models besides the different one piece exotic gear choice. Their isnt at this point much difference for end game models. Im sure that Bungie will get this fixed to a point with the other DLC coming out. The only thing that does bother me a bit is with all of the different shader options that are in the game I have literally got "bloodpact" 8 times >_< I would love to even buy different shaders from the lady but again im sure eventually we will. We just have to be patient with this game and it will end up becoming amazing!

4 RepliesI agree to a point. Personally, I dislike the raid gear for the hunter. Shoulder pad is too big and bulky and chest piece doesn't look right. Legs look fine. I'm fine with just being a level 29 at one point, but I feel like we should be able to reach 30 without raid gear. Maybe have an option to break down raid gear into a super special material to upgrade the corresponding armor piece to raid status. That way, we still have to go through the effort of getting the gear, but have the choice to use the armor we like :)
