"Destiny servers are not available" again? Can I get some customer support, please?
Let me first start by saying that unlike most posts I am seeing, this one is not meant to bash or hate on Destiny. I actually enjoy the game and I think that Bungie is being responsive to the requests of their consumers (and they are keeping us informed while they do it . . . bravo!)
But alas, I have spent all day trying to log in to this game and all I am getting is this: "Attention: Destiny servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again. For more information, visit help.bungie.net"
All my friends have been playing all morning, and I can't log in once . . . what is going on here? I've tried restarting my system, restarting my router, and plugging my XBOX directly into the modem. I'm able to do other stuff like watch Netflix, so that makes me think that the issue isn't with my network; but then again, my friends are not having issues at all . . . so the problem seems to be just with me. Anyway, there's only so much I can do to troubleshoot issues like this, and if Destiny is going to have so many of them, I think it's about time they offered some form of customer support team.
With so many games these days being released without adequate testing, eventually a disgruntled customer is going to seek legal recourse against a studio like Bungie, and with game-breaking issues like this one happening so frequently, I could easily imagine Bungie getting fragged in litigation. Perhaps the next loot cave will come in the form of a class-action settlement.
