Destiny-The game where you feel alone...

I've got a good 10 hours or so in, and I'm really enjoying it so far. However, I'm currently lvl 14, and I've only grouped with one other person for about 7 minutes. And as far as talking or communicating with another player- it hasn't happened. This is mainly because there's no easy way to do it. There is no form of prox chat (inexcusable in my mind). Another issue with attempting to join a fireteam (PS4) is you must completely EXIT the game and go to your dashboard to do so. Even if you do that, Bungie has decided that by default you can only join a "friends" fireteam. So what are the odds that I'll run into someone that's on my friends list? The odds boggle the mind. I also understand people not wanting randoms joining them, but to set this as default? Wtf? This game is loads of fun, but from my perspective, and experiance up until now, it could have easily been a single player campaign. I really, really hope Bungie decides to implement some form of simple communication (prox chat comes to mind). Obviously, there should be an option to disable this for those who prefer not to communicate. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to play with others, only to be thwarted by an frustrating /outdated communication system, and just plain getting sick of closing the game out during a fight to try and get some random pub next to me to help out. I don't have many gamer friends- as a father with two little girls, the soccer mom crowds I hang around with have no idea what Destiny is- So I rely solely on people I meet in game to play with. I've heard people say "it'll be implemented soon", but I've yet to see one word from Bungie.

  • Optional automatic matchmaking would be best. Mass Effect 3 had automatic and it was great. You played and saw who was your level of gamer or better and then asked them to be friends and then you built your team. Not the other way around but if you wanted to you could. I don't need fifty ass#$&es clogging up friend space and notifying me of everything they're doing. At least give me a chance to just jump into an enjoyable game and not have to worry if my "friends" are online. Also, I'm a lvl 24 Titan needing a group for Weekly Strikes and The Queens Wrath for Xbox 360. Jokermania5150
