I'm level 18 cryptarch. And one of my mates was level 28? I think I still get mainly Blues from purple engrams so I doubt it changes anything. I believe it's just a free engram reward thing. I farmed the engram cave for 3.5 hours in one hit a week ago and went back to the tower and leveled up the cryptarch 3 times with one trip lol, got an exotic gun called ThunderLord. But I got lucky lol.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm still interested to know if it changed for anyone. It just seems like such a waste of a vendor; Similarly with the gunsmith, whose guns only go up to lvl 18 and are very rarely of blue rarity. It should definitely scale up with level, maybe not to the point where he sells Purples (unless they are [u][b]extremely[/b][/u] expensive)!

Yeah purchasing Blues should be an option. But no one over level 24 wears Blues. They're useless

That is true, but I was thinking more from the perspective of leveling him up withough having to rely on RNG to give blue or higher engrams to you. Just an alternative I guess.
