That might be even more confusing, the color system is alright; they just need to communicate the possibilities of engram decryption. Maybe more players would be less disappointed.

Players currently get a purple engram and expect a purple (legendary) reward. When they receive a reward of a lower value (read color) than the engram they decoded then "rage sharding of blues ensues". I see two ways they can better communicate the possible contents of engrams 1. Change the color hierarchy of the engrams so that players no longer associate this with the reward rarity level. 2. Adjust the drop rate for each color engram so that a blue engram always produces a blue reward and a purple engram always produces a purple reward etc. In my opinion this is the less desirable fix because this would mean you would almost never see purple and above engram drops anymore.
