Bump, having same issue. Have tried everything. I don't have my gmail linked, only psn and xbl accounts.
Would help to note that everything else on bungie.net is working perfectly. I can see both characters from both consoles on both the website and companion app. Everything loads properly with the exception of the clan tag on my name plate.

Yep, sounds like the exact same thing. I can see it all, both on browser and mobile app, but no clan tag. Seems a lot of people are having the same issue...

I just fixed it somehow... Disassociate yourself from all clans and groups, and rejoin the desired clan. Don't join/follow anything else until you are for sure in the clan and it's set as your default. I think it was something to do with following other groups or trying to be in 2 clans or something.

I just had a buddy check my profile on his app and it says I haven't played yet as well by the way.
