Bungie... Notify players before maintenance "Poll"

Yes, an in-game notice of a shutdown is great

No, I don't mind losing connection without warnings.

Entire post has been RE-edited because there "is" a Notice players are given prior to servers coming down for maintenance as per the discussion with Yoshida (for which the clarification AND validation of them taking place I am greatful). As per community feedback it has been confirmed that Bungie does in fact send out Notifications of the servers coming down for maintenance. After talking with Yoshida, the notice occurs when you are "off planet" in what we can refer to as the "Orbit Menu". So there is no notice in-game. So, I'm greatful for Bungies effort for those notifications. However, you'll at this point realize that if you are "Not" in orbit at any point when these notifications are taking place, you are unaware that you will be disconnected during Raids, during Bounties, during any gameplay. EVEN IF the system to notify players of incoming maintenance was say "an icon in red" in a corner of the screen during gameplay that was present on your screen in a corner or even below your radar, say.... the Bungie symbol with a circle around it, nobody would be unaware of the fact the system is going to be shut down for maintenance. This discussion is about a warning system in place for the playing community so progress is neither lost nor wasted due to "scheduled maintenance". Thank you. Please continue to discuss the issue. ;o)

 •
Bungie, Games great. Sure every game post launch needs some tweeks. And there's no rage in this post, I've been gaming a long time. Long enough though that I'm seeing "something" that you aren't doing that other developers do for their community. And by the way, those developers overall in my opinion are lousy. But at least they do this..... Dice: Posts on their forums 2 days, 3 days, and sometimes a whole week in advance that SERVERS will be undergoing maintenance. Despite how bad BF4 is, despite how bad the 10 updates a second are, despite how you lose what you earn because the game messes up your save data so you can literally BUY your progress back... DICE TELLS PLAYERS OF INCOMING DOWNTIME. Trion Worlds: Defiance is by every definition.. A garbage game dysfunctional beyond an infinite scale of measurement. But in the game while you are playing every player receives a notification on their screen that states very VERY CLEARLY..... "Servers will be going down for maintenance in 30 minutes". Then they'll do the notification in the game again at 15 minutes. And that game btw has had well over 80 updates since launch, and I'm talking about "maintenance". So this is a courtesy extended to their community also. The point is simple. If your "Concurrency Center" got shut down while you're working in it and you are in there working on achieving something, how would you like it if randomly it was getting turned off while you're trying to do anything and got a message on all it's monitors from community saying "Pardon us, but we decided without notifying you we needed to do something, so here's your notice of our maintenance AFTER we shut you off". O_O Again... I ain't raging in the least. Point is simple. Those lesser developers at least give their community warnings. You... You're just kicking people. Not much else explanation is necessary really. Have a good day, I'm enjoying the game, and thank you for your hard work.
Lel, I was doing an event. And boom, fu** u steezy. Hey at least we all did not disconnect due to a zoo animal named error code. Oh wait...
