As far as i know you cant turn it off. I don't prefer auto aim and would love to turn it off. Hopefully they give us the option soon.
But yea he might have turned auto centering off or changed look sensitivity, You can find those in settings and look controls.

You can also tell if it's on by going a decent distance away from an enemy and shoot one round just off target. If it magically hits then it's on. I just tested it and the reticule moves really fast toward the target hits it and then moves back. To where your reticule was. truly some weird AA

It Actually could be the AA. It doesn't work like traditional AA it it's a little more subtle. It wont follow or just snap to a target when you aim, if you shoot then the reticule will snap to targets (especially moving ones) and if your moving the reticule already then you will snap passed your target or to either side. It's incredibly annoying. You'll get usto it. Took me forever, it makes it very hard to adjust for since it's basically random. Go for single shots or small burst, full auto and it just goes everywhere.
