Here we go again.
Are you going to edit your post in a few hours and act like you were trolling the entire time again?
Most of us who don't approve of it realize that, yes you get way more stuff. And we're well aware that you don't actually have to do anything, but those are the reasons we don't do it. Those of us who play the game how it is intended (and no, I don't care what you say, standing at a hole and shooting at it for hours, was not Bungies intentional way for you to play their game) are actually getting some fun out of the game. Those of us who play strikes and story missions, do so because we don't want to stand and shoot at a cave for hours.
Those of you who do this cave loot crap may do as you please but I'm going to play it how it's intended to be played, and I'll have a little deeper connection with the items I carry.

Whats The fun In farming youre Gear if you dont get it together in raids etc. You Will have the better Gear ok but you still die and think "damn why is that i alway die in my full awesome farmed Gear " , thats you never lezende how the sharpen youre skills and game

I don't think this requires mmo experience to understand that shooting at a wall for hours on end is boring and isn't how the game was supposed to be played. But whatever you wanna do man have fun somehow.

Well, I do recall multiple times where bungie stayed it wasn't an mmo. But I'm aware you'll argue it is one. Regardless, I don't need any experience of any kind to understand that shooting at a hole in a wall isn't fun, and I can guarantee they didn't make it like that on purpose, expecting you to stare at a hole, shooting things for hours. Wether mmos have had a similar mechanic in their games doesn't mean those were intentional either. If they were, I'm not sure id enjoy those mmos.

Okay guy respect for getting your level without farming gear. Your argument is fair enough just don't hate on us who would rather shoot in a hole instead of fighting phogoth for the 45th time.

You misunderstand, I'm not hating on those who use this exploit. I'm merely irritated at the number of posts about this cave. I'd much rather be seeing strategies and question posts in these forums. Instead, it's crowded with people complaining that some people have a problem with using the exploit (which I don't, I'll reiterate)

Unfortunately I am at that place in my progression where I need ascendant shards to level my light. As I have already completed all the strikes and dailies, nor have the patience to sit through countless hours of crucible hoping something drops that I can use, I farm to get legendary gear to break it down. Does that make me less of a gamer that enjoys this game less than you? *Edit* I would like to say that I did not begin to farm until last night, already having reached 27.

Well idk if you enjoy shooting at a hole, but have fun. And I don't remember saying anyone here was less of a gamer? Also if you do the raid it gives you like 9 ascendant material, also dong the daily everyday and finding a public event will give you at least another 4 ascendant material each day.

It was incredible, definitely give it a try. You can only get the chest rewards (which are mostly ascendant materials) once a week but it is definitely a new challenge. Took us about 6 hours total.

Kudos to you InvictusProsper, as you have greater patience than I do. I may have only caved twice, and only a few minutes at a time, yet I am no less disgusted with my self. It's like camping a rare boss in an mmo, except nobody else is hunting for it.

I don't expect anyone to be disgusted with themselves, I only hope that those who do this on a daily basis and for hours on end, realize they're sucking the fun out of the game.

Dude...this game in the history of games has the worst loot/reward system ever. Its a double random.....i.e. Random if the crypt drops and then random again if its any good. You basically have to mass up the engrams and decrypt at once for the hope of anything decent. If bungie made the loot system less retarded you wouldn't see this being the norm. Right now there's no reason to grind strike after strike. They are playing the game as intended, they are just reducing the farming cycle from strikes to constant generated enemies.

The purpose of legendaries being difficult to get, is so they're a little more rare. I have still never picked up a legendary piece of armor, but I'm fine with it because I know when I do I'll appreciate it more.

I have almost a full set of warlock gear in legendary. I am a Titan. So, I'm still quite happy about it.

Look at Borderlands and Diablo III (Reaper of Souls) THAT is how you do loot, not randomly getting a random chance to get a random chance at getting a random item that was randomly chosen at random...
