Better farming spot than the loot cave.
I don't know why everyone's circle jerking over the loot cave when the temple of crota spot is far superior. I was farming there for 1 hour and got 5 legendarys, 15 rares and endless amounts of greens. Think i'm wrong? Watch the video!

I forgot to mention once you're done dont finish the mission just go to orbit because when you come back to farm some more the game puts you back at the most recent checkpoint which by luck is just by the farming spot!

This spot is great, I've farmed it for hours... The only downside is having to die every 30 seconds, and having to hear "WE'VE WOKEN THE HIVE" a thousand times.

Well i totally agree with you, because i use both farming methods daily trying my luck. but it is still random generated but i think the reason why the method in temple of crota is better than the cave is there are more enemies to kill thus giving you a higher chance of getting those legendary/rares. I got more drops in croto rather than the cave and it gave me tons of glimmer too. anyways depends on you guardians to pick, may the rngods have mercy on us all

It's actually pretty useful there, although PCP really needs to lay off the PCP. The plus side? No whiners griping or griefing, and you're not taking up the kills others might need for a mission or bounty.

6 RepliesI haven't tried the cave but whatever legendary engrams I get turn out to be rare items anyway. Does that happen to anyone else? I must have turned in over 30-40 and only three of them actually produced legendary items.

Bruh, if glimmer is what you're after, get yourself some black wax idols and head off to the moon strike on hardest difficulty with a full fireteam. PS: getting killed is of course what makes this more efficient(more specifically the defense of the doorway near the beginning)

I'll help you! Instead of goin to legit you an save a lot of time by just not killing the knight, letting it kill you and then in 3 seconds you'll respawn again without having to watch the cut scene ready to kill everything

3 Replieslol it's all random drops, doesnt matter where you choose to farm it's your decision...i only choose to farm on earth because i can AFK while others kill and i still get drops, easy engrams with 0 effort because im lazy.

1 Replylol how can you say it is better when the cave has faster respawns, much lower risk of actually getting killed, no loading screens oh and you also get to do public events every 30 mins!!! I realise you are just trying to help but a lot of people prob will not agree with you dude.

1 ReplyIf you're going to farm then stick with the cave. The majority of people say it's better for a reason. Plus there are are benifits other than better engram drops that the cave has to offer. When it comes to farming there is currently nothing better than the cave.

You don't need to go to orbit either you just let the knight kill you. A better spot I find is the divide on old Russia. It's nice a small so you basically keep killing the enemys every time the dropships come in which is every 2 minutes they drop loot, you run around and collect spinmetal which constantly repawns in random spots which for every 50 will net you vanguard marks and every 30 min a spider walker drops in which gives you up to 4 vanguard marks. Rinse and repeat as many times as you want. Much better than shooting into a cave.

4 Repliesit's not better. And your drops are not proof since everything is RNG based. The cave is the best spot because it's the most efficient. You can farm engrams, spinmetal, and chests here. All without having to die and re start. No place can be better then the cave for engram farming. There are better glimmer farm spots but that's it.

I did this for awhile and I rarely get drops... It's good for glimmer though, if anyone is wondering.
