Me personally, I see where you're coming from. I like games like this though, because at heart I'm a perfectionist. My brother plays as the hunter on my account, and I'm my Titan; and I rarely ever play a game and let something slip out of my reach. I'll likely get level 2 rep in each faction, take my pick of their weapons, and get my purple sparrow. I'll also Max out my subclasses, hunt for each exotic, and triumph in the iron banner. My ultimate goal is to hit level 30, and max out each character... And I don't think that's going to happen for a LONG ass time haha

I'll tell you the same thing I told someone else in a comment a bit earlier. So say you do everything you say and get to level 30, and get all the armor and weapons, what is the big difference between your level 30 and my level 27-28? The only big difference would be noticeable in iron banner, maybe a 100 or so defense advantage. I could maybe see myself going for that level 30 if I wasn't doing the same missions over and over, but the constant repetition just for a small advantage isn't worth it in my opinion. Most of my leveling comes from the Crucible; so I'm rarely ever bored with repetition: but to each their own I guess.

Crucible did level me up in the past, but now I'm to the point to where only an exotic is worth it. You should know how hard that is to find, if they even give you loot after the match at all.
