Yeah man Im level 23. Beaten the story mode, hit several vanguard strikes, hours in the crucible, even farmed the cave out of frustration. I have not obtained one single item above rare. Is this normal or am I just unlucky?

Then I'm lucky, I was level 20 got blue leg armor engram, decoded it into legendary boots with 18 light sending me to level 21(I had chest armor with 5 light)

i was like you, at level 23 with only blues... i ended up grinding to buy a legendary from the vanguard...im almost level 26 now.

thats what i just spent an hour doing. bought a bunch of vanguard bounties and went patrolling on earth. hit the cave for about 20 minutes then hit the moon patrolling. i will try that till i can buy a legendary or something. these damn vanguard ranks dont go by fast lol.

yeah, i am one of the unlucky ones as well, that seem not to get lucky with drops. and yes, some of those bounties take time to complete. Im looking forward to tuesday when the queens bounties will be available,,good change of pace, seems like i have done every vanguard bounty 10 times each lol

Hang in there, I hit the cave today after running patrol and finishing bounties and I got a purple drop within two minutes. It's all luck.

For your level that is normal, once you hit 24 you start to see legendary engram drops

I had the same thing. I ended buying all my gear from vanguard put me up to lvl 25. Now I don't know if I'm lucky but popping up alot but everything for different class.

Is vanguard strikes the only thing that can get you the ability to purchase from the vanguard armory?

Vanguard bounties and patrolling u have to get to rank two takes time but u get legendary gear

Thanks man. From what you can tell is it more worthwhile to focus on vanguard rank and armory or crucible rank and get weapons from the quartermaster?

Right there with you man. I'm maxed out with blues, I think I literally need exotic or legendaries to lvl up and can't get one for my life

What level are you ? Im on ps4 and looking for some people to find online for vangaurd and crucible matches if you are up for it
