There's waaaaayyy too much special ammo on crucible maps.
The title says it all.
Special ammo should be something you have to fight for. Shotguns, FRs and snipers are semi power weapons. 80% of the people in the game should not have ammo for them at all times.

There's way too many buildings in crucible. It's ruining the few of the amazing skyline.

I agree completely. Not sure what's so "special" about it since it's literally everywhere. I'd like if there was much less, maybe twice as much as heavy ammo but spawning momentarily.

1 ReplyI believe its available to everyone in the match, no? Don't complain if you choose not to go get them or stop others when they try to get them. If you let a person or a team keep restocking them everytime they appear, then you have no one to blame.

8 RepliesArgh. I'm sorry, but there really isn't. I've forgotten to get special ammo ALL the time. I use my shotgun, and forget all about it. I still get 1.8+ k/d average. Either you're good enough to adapt to how the game is, or you're not. Complaining and trying to dumb down all of the weapons/power they have because you can't do it... just shows you're not good enough to play very well.

I say we change the spawn rate of ammo boxes to at least one minute, making them unavailable at the start of a match. Also, seriously decrease the amount of ammo fusion rifle's start with.

5 Repliesshotguns have a maximum range of virtually nothingness. you literally do 6s to people at more than 10 metres. fusion rifles are very easy to boss a game with and absolutely destroy the enemies, but if your aim is off by just a little you are -blam!-ed unless the other player is trash. Sniper rifles are sniper rifles.... its a halo game, if someone is good with one they are going to -blam!-, but if someone is shit with it and you die, that is your fault for standing still. RADAR IS ALWAYS ON IF YOU DON'T WANNA GET INTO A SHOTGUN/FUSION RIFLES BATTLE STAY BACK WITH YOUR TEAM AND PICK ENEMIES OFF FROM A SAFER RANGE WITH RIFLES.

If you nerf the amount, everyone will have smaller amounts and need to hit up the box more. If you nerf the rate the box drops, one guy will get a lot and then everyone will have to wait for another box, which would suck. Also, there are ways around special ammo nerfs. >People running Sniper as Primary would use Ice Breaker for the ammo regeneration. All other Snipers would be screwed. Most of the population does not run Sniper Rifles on anything other than the Moon and Bastion, anyway. >People running Shotgun as Primary would use the Universal Remote Primary Shotgun (no need for Special Ammo, congratulations!) or the Invective for ammo regeneration. >People running Fusion Rifle as Primary would use the Performance Bonus perk that grants 5 bonus rounds 25% of the time on kill, for practically unlimited ammo.

i agree here fully, i dont think any special weapon should be nerfed at all, but players should not be able to use their special weapon the entire match

Agreed completely. They're called special weapons, but they're not treated as such. Players are literally able to spend an entire match using just special weapons and that should not be possible. Players need to spawn with less or no special ammo and special ammo spawns need to appear less often.
