I WAS excited for iron banner. Until shotty noobs started playing
I hate these people most of all. No skill to use and things like blink only help them out. I want a playlist with no shottys or fusion rifles allowed, i want the fun back.(Most who respond are people defending their noob guns.)

Shotguns are not noob weapons they are supposed to be one hit kill up close because they are shotguns they have always done that. Fusion Rifles are dumb too long range and too fast of a charge. Stop being a baby learn to counter and play the damn game

This is why sometimes Bungie shouldn't listen to the community. On that same note I've been torn up by every weapon class in crucible. But the issue stands that its a result of the AR nerf people went to the next "op" weapon class. Secondary ammo isn't the issue. And iron banner will see a decrease in shotgun use and fusion rifle because the primaries will actually put in work again. Armor classes will actually work (hopefully) and those underlevel players won't stand a chance.

Just judging by your name, you're playing the wrong game. While I enjoy this games PvP, there really isn't anything that's actually competitive about. It never will be with all the one shot kill things in this game.

2 RepliesIf special weapons were class specific like the following: Titan-Shotgun Hunter-Sniper Warlock-Fusion Rifle Then we would definitely see like a 50% increase with titans playing crucible. Just saying I don't see many warlocks or titans at the moment running around with a shotgun the entire game...

The problem is that there is so much special ammo on the map you never have to use your primary. I think special ammo should come about as often as heavy ammo and heavy ammo come only once half way through the match.

It's an imbalanced experience to say the least. I mean, I understand the whole concept of practicing but who am I really trying to prove myself to? This is an entirely unenjoyable experience and it's bad enough that longtime Halo fans have the edge as it is but at times when I see all of these events and features being rolled out for PVP and nothing coming for PVE outside of level 26 Raids that you need specific gear for that you get FROM PLAYING PVP I feel like I have hit a wall with this game and there's no budging through it. I'm not knocking the game or the people who have managed to make a pact with the devil in order to tolerate and play PVP without even batting at eye but I almost feel like I bought a game that was intended to reward longtime a very sub niche group of the demographic they were marketing toward while putting the rest of us at odds as cannon fodder. Ultimately I walked into this with a promise it would be a social, inclusive experience and instead I feel excluded and alone because I don't want to commit to mastering an extremely broken system [b]as I would a full time job[/b].

Did you know, if you have enough armour, you won't get one shotted by a shot gun in Iron Banner? Also, did you know, if you read the settings, you will see something called "LEVEL ADVANTAGE". Level advantage indicates if gears, stats, and skills increases ones Guardian in a match. If level advantage is OFF, it mean a naked level 2, can be as strong as a level 27. If level advantage is ON, it means a naked level 2, will only do 1-10 damage to a level 27.

If you can't figure out how to not git reckt by a shotgun and only noobs use them then what does that make you?

The only thing that pisses me off about shotguns is when you shoot someone at the same time they you shoot you with a shotgun but you die and they dont. I know its probably because of lag, but it makes me so -blam!-ing mad when it happens. Ill run up on someone with a shotgun, we both fire from point blank and... I die, as they run off with a fraction of their health bar remaining.
