Destiny Trade System
Destiny is in desperate need of a trade system. If we all start complaining like all the people who want bad nerfs and want famring to stop(You're playing an MMO farming is part of the game.) then bungie might actually listen and give us what we want. Please show your support for a destiny trade system in the comments and if you're against it i'd love to hear why.

Nope, rather not have it. Too many people would sell weapons and all you'd see everywhere on the forums is people looking for guns etc etc.

Just rip off Blizzards raid trade mechanic. You have 1 hour to trade anything you pick up with anyone else who was there when you got it... After that you are SOL. Trade problems solved. Anything else is asking for hacked items to start showing up like Diablo 3.

I would love to see a balanced trade! I'm the kind of guy who rather sticks to 1 character and give it my all :)

I am against the idea of trading. If everyone could trade, there would be no reason to keep grinding for that one item you want so bad. I almost look at trades the same as micro transactions. Almost.

1 ReplyTrade system sounds good on paper but it could go really bad with exotics and legendaries. Although mehbe something like can only trade things of equal value. Could work

I feel that the trade system should be allowed if those who are trading are friends on psn and in a fire team. Also that there is only a certain period of time allowed to trade just like when xur comes rolling in to town. Keep the trading to class specific items and upgradable materials should be the only tradable items in order to keep the playing field fair between the less experienced and the more experienced

I don't think adding a trade system would go very well. It opens up too many issues, real money trading being the most obvious.

Which of the following statements would you prefer: "I got this exotic chestplate from this other guy for a few hundred Glimmer!" Or "Oh, this? Me and my friends stormed the Hellmouth, found the secret area, and almost defeated the Mother Wizard from which all the other Wizards spawn. We did manage to get out alive though and after that Zavala gave me the Crest of Alpha Lupi for reviving ten teammates in the fight back to the surface of the Moon!" (I really hope that secret boss fight exists lol) EDIT: However I would be in favour of a Trade System if the following items were un-tradable: Strange Coins Ascendant materials Legendary and Exotic items or Engrams Already upgraded gear

1 ReplyIm sorry I do not agree with trading on this game. I do like trading but it can ruin the game if it was introduced . Some examples of it being ruined are: you get ppl that have a lot of glimmer buying all the best weapons and hoarding it in order to control trading prices or to make sure other good players do not get them. Some gamers may even try to charge players real money which is a no no. Oh again trading prices, gamers with not a lot of glimmer will never get cool guns because traders will charge stupid prices (unless its a friend). Destiny is about earning your loot by shooting things, if you put in trading you take that away. Instead of about the loot it will become about the glimmer and Id rather have the loot! If I get killed by aliens Id rather die with my exoctic weapon in my hand instead of going out with a fat pocket :)

I wouldn't mind a trade system as long as they implemented it well. I don't want to see people paying their way to the top with real money. Conversely, I do wish I could trade with my friends and stuff when we get dupe weapons

6 RepliesI think its a good idea, but you can only trade something for someyhing that is equal to it. Like only legendary for legendary, uncommon for uncommon, and so on. I think it should be specific types also, like only chest for chest, primary gun for primary gun, so on, to keep it all completely even.

as much as i would like a trade system, i feel it would ruin the game. we already have people wining about Xur and that's the closest thing we have to trading. there is also at least one thread that claims exotics are ruining PvP. now add trading into the mix. everyone, and i mean everyone will have exotics if trading is allowed. so just keep it as is.

For, but only for inventory items (no weapons/gear), should be for materials and consumables only.

Edited by Rihzome: 10/15/2014 1:13:53 PMLegendary for Legendary, Exotics for Exotics. Both players "earned" their gear, but not gear for their class, so they can easily gain gear for both their respective classes. (Have a distinction between Raid Legendaries and normal Legendaries)

This would only promote people selling gear on eBay meeting up with them in game and trading gear. So no trading system, loot is always dropping its not needed in this game

5 RepliesI want a trade system, or something like it, but with a limiting factor so people don't just farm and give gear to low level characters for Real life cash. What I would prefer is some kind of auction hall, where you would put gear up for sale ( with a default minimum price, depending on the gear) and people bid on it.

Dunno how good it'll work given you are stuck having 25k glimmer. That would keep inflation steady, but honestly, 25k glimmer doesn't take long to get, but would be the asking price for all legendary... Exotics would have to involve a payment plan. Lol

I am for a trading system. I have read people talk about the game economy and how it would be changed. I just want to be able to trade and play the game with my brother and have a good time. For the both of us, it is miserable having to farm. My brother is in the Army and I have college. We don't have time to grind and farm like everybody else, we are in it mostly for the Destiny experience. Finding items that are worth our time is few and far between. If Destiny wants to protect their farming, I would be (and I am) much more worried about them covering up for their lack of content (both missions and gear). Running the same few strikes over and over again is not rewarding nor how I imagined Destiny to be. A perfect example of trading would be Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls. There are plenty of legendary drops AND TRADING. There are plenty of different abilities and traits that the armor and weapons have that are interchangeable, where no 2 pieces of gear are the same. Destiny needs to understand Incentive. Without Incentive, I have no reason to play.

If they're gonna add it. I'd say have it so you can't trade till after level 20.
