But it has MMO elements. One of which is that the game is loot based, therefore making farming part of the game.
-
I know this but people keep saying it's an MMO when it's not
-
I hardly see people call it an MMO anymore, but people compare it to MMOs all the time. That's how I read this post. Not calling Destiny an MMO, simply comparing it.
-
The only thing truly separating it from a full on mmo is the fact consoles can not support the same things a computer can for it. It's a console version of an mmo though and it's doing real well at it so far for being live for a week going on two.
-
I still don't consider it an MMO. Missing too many elements. And PS4 and XB1 could handle a full on MMO just fine. If the PS2 could handle EQ, there's nothing holding back the new consoles.
-
You have to understand though that Bungie is not used to making an mmo.
-
And Bungie doesn't want to make an MMO. Hence, Destiny isn't one, it simply shares elements of an MMO.
-
I consider it a console mmo for those elements.
-
Understandable. I don't, but I also used to play EQ on PS2, so I'm used to a real console MMO.
-
That's understandable.
