The rest of the story is going to come through weekly missions and events. They also have to make more games after this, and since the darkness is such a big threat, it will undoubtedly be the main enemy for all the games. So they can defeat it this game, but there will still be more story to come. Don't worry :)

My biggest question is, what is the Darkness and who is fighting for it? It seems like the Hive are directly linked to the darkness, as they are like creatures of the dark, and it's apparent that the Vex machines are controlled by the Darkness. But what's the deal with the Fallen and the Cabal, cause you see them fighting against the other enemy factions throughout the game. Are they followers of the Darkness? Are they just scavengers taking advantage of Humanity's weakness? If they follow the Darkness, why are they fighting each other? Is there a Darkness Civil War going on?

Where the hell is my story, Bungie?

  • Oh you mean the story-telling. I thought you meant the story as in the missing information, not the way it was told. That I can agree needs some serious work.

The amount of info we were given only begs a million questions without having introduced anything in the world properly to give the viewer a sound narrative context, and how it's been given was just plain embarrassing.
