I find it ironic that most likely a lot of the cave exploiters are the,same kind of people who goes around claiming game devolpers don't care about principles and integrity and just make decisions out of greed, yet here they are, doing the same thing, ignoring integrity and principles and using a exploit for pure greed.

There's another great cave on earth. A captain and 7 others come out. Fallen and vandals. Better than the last.

If this were a game like Halo where people were farming and boosting, I'd agree. But since this isn't JUST an FPS (FPSMMORPG), farming is absolutely legit. I do farm that cave rather consistently but I also take part in strikes, the Crucible, and daily and weekly heroics. The last 3 strikes I've done in the Strike Playlist were the SAME exact one (Taking that huge ass Cabal enemy out). So I assure you, most of us are not missing out on any content whatsoever. Besides, farming in this game doesn't feel like a grind. It's actually rather enjoyable. Consistent weapon and armor upgrades gives you a sense that your time isn't being wasted PLUS public events happening right behind you every so often PLUS the major battle between the Hive and the Fallen that happens every so often offers some nice break up and fun. If you have a problem with it, don't do it. But using the excuse "You're ruining your own gaming experience" makes you sound ignorant. I'm enjoying my experience a whole damn lot, thank you very much.

That's like keeping people of a different race outta your town, then claiming you should be allowed to because you're "performing a community service". Grow up and realize that people bought this game for many different reasons, that its a fantastic game for being able to appeal to such a wide range of players, and that if you're letting yourself get THIS worked up over something that really doesn't affect you in any way, then you have bigger problems than this game.

Be it raids, strikes crucible or standing in on place firing it's all of the same. And I agree bungie would fix it if they didn't want you to do it. Keep in mind this is a community game and if someone decides to stand in the cave to police the situation that's what will happen. Also if someone wants to stand at a cave and shoot that's what will happen. People need to just start playing the game for themselves and enjoy what they like about it and stop worrying about the others. The other thing is there are groups and clans so you can play with like minded ppl. Get your heads out a you butts and back in the game. Also keep in mind IT'S A GAME!!!!

Maybe if the game lasted more then a day an there was more things to kill oh an then make the reef an then not put any playable land in the reef ehh another game that should have been pushed back until 2015

I farm the cave. But I also farm strikes. And rep. I've capped vanguard coins this week, so what else is there to do? Why not burn a few hours getting a little bit more chance at gear. I haven't gotten anything of use from the cave yet but I still do it to kill time. I'm not gonna sit and do strikes with stupid people that keep leaving or going afk when I'm already currency capped. Sorry. If you've ever played an mmo in your life you'd know this is how things work. I've played wow for 9 years. You get your weekly valor cap, do your raids for the week, and then you spend the rest of the week farming. It's how this shit works.

It's so true. I did quite a bit of farming myself. But the best way to actually get stuff is to play the game.. I found 2 legendary, and a ton of rare engrams last night by playing strike, crucible, and some patrol missions. I felt like it was a little faster, and way more fun.

Shooting mobs isn't an exploit - get over it. Standing in the cave waving and dancing clearly shows intent IMO.

The way I see it, you're calling this an exploit because the "monsters don't fight back". This is not true; if you were to stop firing and walk up to them they will definitely attack you. Shooting monsters that use only melee from a distance with long range rifles doesn't count as "monsters that don't fight back" but as monsters that are capable of fighting back but are too outclassed to do so... This is farming not exploiting. If we took your reasoning to any traditional MMO then by your definition an example of exploitation will be: a high level archer killing lvl 1 mobs from a distance. The archer has high enough stats to kill them instantly and the mobs don't have a chance to fight back. Back to Destiny; although the acolytes and occasional thrall have the ability to fight back, their lvl 6 and etc. stats aren't enough to try against my 220 attack scout rifle and 90% headshot accuracy. My point? This is farming not exploiting, if Bungie thinks otherwise then it will be dealt with whether we want it or not. So go ahead and sit in the cave and waste your time while the farmers find other lobbies.
